You can find current and past recalls from the CPSC at:
CPSC Home Page
Look under "Recalls and Product Safety News", then I would search by Product Category to narrow down your search.

You can also look on the Polaris website for 'recent' or 'archived' press releases:
Polaris : Our Company : News : Recent Press Releases
Polaris : Our Company : News : Press Release Archive

That's horrible news about your neighbor. I hope that nobody was hurt in the fire

This is not a recall yet but possibly one in the future on 2006 Hawkeye .

I have just 700 miles on my 06 Hawkeye 2x4 and ride here in Arizona. I purchased new Jan 31 2007. Well today my quad started to sway in the rear with any turning of the front wheels. After closer examination I found the lower left rear A frame mounts had separated and had to jerry rig it with wire to get it back to my truck. Luckily I had friends that were along and helped me back. This is the bracket that is attached to the frame. It looks like a bent 90 degree bracket that is welded onto the frame. Very thin material. After closer examination I also found the right rear side was starting to separate. I don't ride my quad hard at all and took it to the dealer.
They contacted Polaris and sent pictures and guess what.. they will take care of the repair. This has happened to many others around the US and Europe and hope everyone with an 06 take a closer look to see if it's happening to them.

Anyone else here had this problem?

A Frame failure on Hawkeye

After hearing about so many folks with the rear subraframe failure I decided to contact the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and fill out the on-line form. I feel that this is a major safety issue and we need to let them know about it.
If you had or have this rear subframe failure that holds your rear A-frame I hope you will fill out the form.

Here is the link to the form.

Thanks
