My first ATV, some questions!

I recently bought a 2002 Polaris 325 Trailboss (4-cycle 2wd). I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction to get some info.

Original owner did nothing with maintenance, i think he changed the oil - but that is questionable. His wife basically drove the kids around on this unit in their yard.

I replaced the air filter, checked transmission fluid, and oil. Oil looks OK, trans fluid is black and on the low end of the dip stick. I plan to change both ASAP - I doubt he is running polaris synthetic oil, since he didn't do much of anything with this machine.

What other stuff should i ensure I go over, and replace/inspect to get the most life out of the machine?

He also gave me the original owners manual which is a generic all model manual, is there any place I can get a model specific service manual for my exact machine?

The ATV is responsive and handles good, and has good get up and go, so as far as hours on the machine i'm sure he didn't use much, just a complete lack of maintenance.

A couple last questions:

1) How do I know what generation my machine is?
2) Has anyone hooked up a snow plow to this type of machine, and will it do the job?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I prefer to do my maintenance stuff myself. Big stuff like a tune up and that I would take in, but changing/checking fluids I always do myself so i know its done and done right.

You may be able to down load a service manual. Just google your make and model.
