Problems with my 500 efi sportsman.

I have a 2007 sportsman and a little pic of a battery will start flashing on my screen when the rpms get up to bout 4500. It done this for a week or so then hte starter would make a noise about 1 out of 4 times cranking it. the dealer just said htat it was a loose conection but ive tightened everything. anyone else havin this problem?

Try cleaning your battery terminals, also you can pull the battery out take it to Autozone or some other parts store and have them load test it to see if it's still good.

yeah thats the first thing i tried. ive got a load tester in my shop and the battrey is the first thing that came to mind. This thing has me stumped im a diesel mechanic but have no clue when it comes to this thing.

sounds like the voltage regulator is spiking. this will cause the battery light to flash. try putting a volt meter on your battery and watch the voltage when you rev it up. hope this helps
