Also known as the "Great Divide Trail", Dead Horse Run is a 56 mile route of challenging forest trails. The trail features a scenic ride along East fork of the Chippewa River, and has a wonderful view of Dead Horse Slough. Contact the forest Headquarters for rules and regulations before riding. The Wi DNR has filled in about ten miles of it with gravel the last few years. Every spring there is a few more miles of new gravel. We would drive past 4 other trail system to get to the Deadhorse. But every year it is getting tamer and tamer.
