Thumbs up 2005 TRX 500 2 wheel drive

Has anyone out there bought this machine, 475cc Air cooled, sealed dum breaks all the way around. Two wheel drive.
My question have anyone had any problems with theirs?
I ask the dealer about any recalls and he said all machines on the floor for sale had them updated to honds spec's.
Now he wants $5500 out the door, which I think is high for a two wheel drive 2005 unit.
Any comments good or bad I will like to here about them.
I just be going to trail ride'ing no crazy stuff. The old back won't hold up to a beating. Thanks Rick

$5500? HOLY CRAP!

That seems extremely high to me for a 2-year old 2wd machine.

This machine is still Solid Rear Axle (SRA), therefore it's not gonna be any better on your back than the 4wd version. And I've heard of folks gettin the 4wd new for $100 more than that.

I'd keep lookin, the 4wd may not seem necessary... but in the event you do actually need it (and you never know) you'll be VERY happy that you have it.

Sounds like a deal I'd gladly pass up.

Ride Safe,

Chuck

This sounds like a very high price to me.

I have to agree. For not much more that 1/2 added to the price, you could get a 2007. (you might not be able to or want to get a 2007, but I think you could do better on the 2005 price)
