I use aluma-brite on my rancher's engine but you have to cut it with water, if it is not too bad I would try some formula 409.

By cutting it with water it means mixing, in a 2 gallon garden sprayer put about 1/2 gallon of aluma-brite and the rest water. Now were to get it, I have a hardware store by the house that carries it, try your local hardware store or maybe Lowes or Home Depot might carry it, or an alternative of aluma-brite.

After you get done cleaning it. You can go to Autozone or something like it and get some water proof spray. It's made by Gunk, makers of liquid wrench. It's like a silicone water proof spray. let it Dry completely, then spray it on everything. Motor, Carb, everything underneath, put a good coat on it. it will help with mud water and all the electrical stuff. It wqill seal everything up. I learned that trick from Aaron C Sporna from Mud & Dirt, He's a smart cat when it comes to Mud riding. Here is a link to it, i found it at Gunk.com.
