how do I adjust recon front brakes

I took my 03 recon out for a ride today and my left hand brake lever went all the way back to the grip!! The right hand is a little tighter but not much. I need to be able to stop, how do I repair my brakes? I dont have a manual yet so please be very descriptive and thorough when exlpaining. Pics would be a a GREAT help. Thanks!

Do you want to adjust the front or rear or both? The front brake is on the right and rear is on the left.

Go to this link and you can look at diagrams for most anything you need on a recon.

Just use the drop down box to pick which part you want to look at.

the back brakes are easy to adj. if there still good. by the right rear tire side is the brake panel with a arm and 2 wing nuts. the top is for the left hand brake and the bottom is for the foot brake. the front brakes, jack up the front of the bike and remove the red adj. plugs out of the wheel. take a flashlight and shine in the hole and rotate the wheel until you see the adjusters (should be at 5 and 7 o'clock) take a screwdriver and pry the adjusters until there is drag on the wheels and then back them off so the wheel spins freely. prying down with the driver should be tightening them and 2 adjuster per side.
