The Brute has it's fair share of quirks and bugs... don't get me wrong.
When I first got it I had MAJOR electrical problems... I mean: Turn the key off and the display stayed on, splash in 6" of water and the neutral/reverse lights would come on while going forward, bike would cut out when going through (what I consider to be panzy-ass) mud holes.
I had a laundry list of problems from the start and almost considered taking it back... thank goodness I decided to get dirty and fix it...LOL
I started with taking all the plastic off the machine and spending an entire day taking plugs apart and filling them with di-electric grease to seal them from water invasion (including both spark plugs)... Then I bought the Diamond G products DG5 performance module, which helped eliminate the cutting out in deep water and some of the low speed miss. I had Kawi do the recalls for the carb jets/needles and A-arm bolts... then I went to work. I installed the Bayou snorkel kit for the intake, belt intake, belt exhaust.... custom snorkeled my carb vents... and custom built my own exhaust snorkel.
I purchased the Perfex lift largely due to price and ease of installation (not to mention it's adjustable... a claim no other lift on the market can make) and slapped on the 28" mudzillas. I was still having some minor problems with water in the airbox even after the snorkel and discovered the "silly string" gasket for the airbox lid was the culprit... I decided to use rope caulk and make my own gasket (you have to replace it each time... but one package will last forever!)
There is a tie-rod-end recall out currently on most Brute Force 750 models... I'm holding off and will buy (or have custom made) some beefier ones that meet my own standards.
I fought Kawi and made them give me the glove box (that most people don't even know the Brute is supposed to have under the right rear fender)... once installed, I decided it sucked... and made my own. Then installed some additional forward facing lights, a back up light, an auxilliary cooling fan, Warn winch, and a few other trick things of my own design (among them a Q-beam spotlight in a custom directable mount on the front rack, and a bucket holder w/5gallon insulated bucket cooler full of beer)
Each individual wants their bike to be unique and specific to their wants/needs.... I've customized mine to suit me... IMO the Brute is a good choice.
Ride Safe,
Chuck

Just cut the tip of my exhaust snorkel off and put a Tractor popper on... looks cool as heck and will keep the rain out.
Got sick and tired of putting a can over it every time it rained.
Just one more step in the evolution...LOL
Ride Safe,
Chuck

You guys are hardcore Kawi BF fans. Maybe you guys may be able to help me out.
I own a Brute Force 750 - 06 w/ High compression pistons, stage 1 cams, headers, pipe, jet kit, K&N, chip, clutch kit and bayou snorkel system. Rims and tires, bla bla bla. Loades of snap.
I blew my heads and lost coolant. Crack travels into collant passage. The bike generates an enormous amount of heat and I need some suggestions on how to upgrade my coolant system. I did check the coolant system, and it works just fine, but heat cracked my heads (what else would).
Cheers,
Frank

Got my HL radiator. Man there are alot of bugs in the Brute force. When she's running, I can't picture riding anything else.
Few buddies have Griz's. I always blow the doors off them pull away in a wheelie. Got to wear ear plug though.

There's nothing wrong with the carbs on the BF, you have to learn how to jet.

I'm still on the original jets. If you need more power than they provide... you just need to seek counseling or a small-block V-8.
Mine had to have a lil T.L.C. tonight... after the last trip (and the 5ft. deep water hole I went through) the front diff was full of milk, the air filter needed some attention, and it was FILTHY!
