03 Prairie 4x4

I have an 03 Prairie 4x4. I've noticed for some time now that it seems like something is holding it back. It does have 26" 589's on it but it just doesn't seem to run correctly. It isn't missing or anything, it just seems like I am holding a brake on or something. I thought maybe it was the EBC malfunctioning and just staying engaged all the time. Is this possible? If it is, can the EBC just be disabled or bypassed? Or does it sound like it could be any other problem? Any help would be great.

Also, what, if any mods can be done to this paticuliar Kawi? I'm in the process of buying a new house and really need to hold off on buying a new ride, but would love to beef this one up for now. But, whatever is malfunctioning is my major worry at this time.
