Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. won't be making Sea-Doo personal watercrafts in Juárez anymore, but will make the company's all-terrain vehicles, or ATVs, company representatives said.
This week, the BRP plant in the Bermudez industrial park will start making Can-Am Outlander ATVs. By 2008, the company will make the entire Outlander line -- engines and bodies -- in Juárez. The Sea-Doos, meanwhile, go back to being made in Canada. We will miss the delicious irony of watercraft manufactured in the desert.
