second....with Can Ams...you get what you pay for...they are worth every single solitary penny. I find it funny that you go form complaining that hondas are so outdated to saying can ams are over priced. Wanna know why they cost abit more? Its called engineering. its called progress. its called looking at every part and trying to find someway to make it better. I invite everyone to take a look at the link http://www.can-amds450.com/ and see how the new ds 450 was made and then try to tell me that the bike isnt going to be worth every penny they put on the pricetag. Frankly Im amazed that can am isnt taking over the world.
Can Am will never take over the world, that is nothing but a joke. If you think they are all that, hey go for it. I have seen a lot of reviews on them and they have there good and bad. I have heard that the limited slip in the 800 front end is total junk and the rear suspension is really weird felling. This is just things that I have read and seen on ATV programs. I do believe that if someone build an ATV with a price tag of 20,000.00 someone would be dumb enough to buy it.
"junk?" "weird feeling?" sounds like youlve been reading some really in-depth reviews. ill tell you what...go ride one for yourself. Considering its the same company that makes ski-doos, sea-doos and evanrude engines I would hardly consider anything they make "junk." They also build personal jets and trains.
Not that I have ridden an OUTLANDER but with my experince, as I do own a DS650, they are of the highest build quality that I have seen and are a pleasure to work on because they are engineered well. Frankly, if the outlander is such crap why are they kicking arse in the utility class of GNCC?? Certainly it isnt because they are "junk."
Speaking of engineering...I dont see many other atv's out there with an equivelant to a Rotax engine (also owned by Bombardier). Rotax engines are in some of the best street racing bikes including BMW and Aprilia and have won many races such as Baja and the Paris Dakar Rally among others. Rotax is GERMAN/AUSTRAIN Engineered which mean only 1 thing...THE BEST! HANDS DOWN! NO ARGUMENTS!
If the bike is worth $20K....hell yeah I would buy it. There are racing bikes out there that exceed that and there are lots of people that build/buy them.
Call them "dumb" if you want but I think there are probably many people on this site that have spent $20k or more on their bikes...probably many of them are the people running the show here....and they would probably rather not be considered "dumb" but DEDICATED instead. If I were you I would highly consider not calling your potential customers DUMB as they are the ones willing to spend money.
I would like to know of anyone on this site that has paid 20,000.00 for a quad? If this is you please stand up and say something. i honestly didn't think there was hardly anyone in the U.S. that road a cam am let alone owned one.
ridden one and believe it or not own one....and am going to be buying another one soon
and frankly they are quite new to the field and its unfair of you to compare their popularity with other quads in the field bcause of this fact. once people start looking at what they get for the money you will see alot more can-am's out there.
do you not watch motorcross or quad races? or how about side by side races? cant tell me there arent ALOT of people out there spending ALOT of money on the sport, and its only growing.

I dont think thats too shabby for the new kid on the block.
You make no sense, you start a thread apologizing to those you pissed off and then come attempt to dominate a thread about Honda's with Can Am propaganda. Now if you were sincere in your apology you should probably leave this thread to Hondas.
With a 7th place behind 6 Kaw's, or 13ht place behind 11 kaw's and one CanAm
Or the DNF behind 23 Hondas, Kaws, Suzuki's, Polaris etc...
Or maybe the 18th place finish
Or the DNF 18 others
Now they did do well in the 4x4 section with a 1st & 2nd in 4x4 lites and and a 1,2,3 in 4x4 limited
Of course they lose to a cat and suz in the 4x4 open
My point you can run all the stats you want, you can make them say ANYTHING you want them to say. Now I have nothing against Can Am's but why don't you take your talk to those threads?
I have to agree. I have nothing against Can Am except, I do think they are over priced. Other than that I think they have a good machine. I also think there are a few other companies that have just as good of a machine for a lot less money. Honda has the rancher, nice mid sized machine and the rincon for the big machine. Kawasaki has the brute force 750 ( which I just bought a brand new one this week), also the 360 prairie very nice machine. Yamaha has the grizzly 700, I don't think it is the best of the best as Field and stream has said, but it is a nice large machine. Polaris they has the big 800, but i don't understand why make an 800, 700 ,and how ever many other sportsman they have. I don't believe that Can Am will ever pass Honda, Yamaha, or Kawasaki in sales.
