2006 Eiger OEM Wheel Weight?

I'm about to order a set of 25" Maxxis Mud Bugs, which are somewhat heavier than the 2-ply OEM Dunlop tires that are currently installed. I know the stock wheels are steel, but does anyone know the weight? I'm considering purchasing a set of alloy rims if I need to offset the heavier weight of the aftermarket tires.
Thank You,

So long as you're not exceeding the OEM tire size, then I don't believe it will hurt the machine much power-wise.

A few pounds per tire isn't going to bog the machine down noticeably,

increased diameter... now that's a different story.

Figured it out

I decided to stop being lazy and see for myself. I pulled a front and rear of my Eiger and weighed each. The OEM fronts weigh 22.5 and the rears are 25lbs even. I compared this to what Dunlop states the weight of each tire is and they report the front tire as 15lbs and the rear 17lbs. So, the stock rims weigh 8lbs for on the rear and 7.5lbs on the front.

Thanks for posting that, I'm sure it will help other Eiger owners in their tire-purchasing decision.

I've seen those Eigers haul folks around that made me look like a snack.... they're one of those machines that seem like they can do anything the big boys do, and then some.
