Electrical question

I have a '03 Kodiak which had a MAJOR wiring meltdown. We got all the wires re-run and/or spliced together, but the speedo is acting up. Upon starting and at idle the speedo reads anywhere from 45-105 mph. I'm assumming this is what is keeping it from engaging into 4wd. Does this sound right? Also, can anyone tell me a good repair book which shows the wiring? Maybe with a book and the drawings we can get it fixed right.

I was going to ask about the brakes but I see everyone has the same problem so no need to go there.

Any help would be very helpful.
