Anyone have any knowledge or experience, good or bad with these atv's? I looked at a new 250cc and was impressed with engineering, features, quality, and value for the money. A local Polaris and Kawasaki dealer is selling them. Kymco website is www.kymcousa.com. I would like to hear your impressions on these atv's. Thanks.

Just found out that the Artic Cat 250CC shaft drive 2wd atv is made by Kymco per Artic Cat specifications.

Smile KYMCO 250

I have owned 5 kymco atv's. I had 2 50cc machines for my kids, when they grew out of them, i got them 90cc 4 stroke machines. My wife drives a kymco 250. We have had it almopst 3 years. I thought it was kind of funny that folks bad mouth it, and praise main stream folks like Articat. I was wheeling with some frineds at durhamtown and noticed something familure about his Artica engine. Low and behold kymco makes the bike. the frame, brakes and engine are the same. Just the plastic is differant. Here is the kicker...Articat is 600 bucks more expensive. Yes i'm a hugh fan of kymco machines.
The only thing i've found with kymco machines is that if you play in mud and water, you will go thru a lot of rear brake pads. Trail riding it is normal wear, but start doing mud puddles a lot and they will chew down the pads.
Enjoy riding...

Bill

Hey, have you all seen the new Arctic Cat 360? It is a sharp little ATV and has IRS. Arctic Cat went in with Kymco and they built this unit. I am really interested to see how it does. I like that it is on a samller chassis than most Arctic Cats. If anyone get one please post up some info about it.

Sorry I have no plans of screwing America and buying more cheap garbage made in China. Been there done that, all of it was garbage.

I meant to say 366 arctic cat.

Good point Larry, Honda is definitely not American. Its just been around since 1970 with the 1st 3 wheeler and the 1st 4 wheeler in 1984.

I will say that I would rather buy stuff from Japan than from China. It is unbelievable how much stuff we have exported from china. Most of the childrens toys are made their... and that sucks!

You can't be serious.

Let's see Japan is a friendly nation to the U.S. China seek to overthrow us, Japan treats their people with respect, China forces labor on it's people, Japan is a democracy for the most part, China is a Communist country that is using our hard earned dollars to greatly increase their military, where as Japan has a defense force only and actually has a law against deploying offensive combat forces.

When is the last time poisoned animal food was shipped in from Japan? When was the last time our kids toys were filled with lead paint from Japan? Both of those have come out of China in that last year and you actually ask what the difference is?

Larry where is your TV made? Where is your Stereo made? Where is the shirt you are wearing right now made? Where were the parts in your car made? Where was your computer made? We live in a gloabal economy buying stricktly American is pretty much impossible that doesn't mean we have to buy from a country like China with a horrible human rights record and forced child labor to build our toys.

WOW, Fishmstr thats pretty heavy. I knew these things and I have to agree. Its almost impossible to not to buy stuff from either country. Most of the toys in the U.S. are made in China. I really makes me angry, but hotwheels for example are probable the #1 selling toy and has been since I was a kid. What a shame, however we all continue to buy it. China is producing and selling product here and then saving our money and will continue to buy or try to take over our country with our own money. Buying a Kymco ATV is supporting China, just more money at one purchase. It makes me ill that America has the means, the manpower, the technology to anything and everything we need, but would rather do it cheaper.... and they wonder why our economy is not as strong. Its amazing that these bone heads running our country don't do something about that. Why would they continue to allow such dongerous items, that hurt our kids or animals into our country. China continues to make it.... our government continues to allow it to enter our country and Americans continue to buy it. Heck just this morning, they are sending plane loads of food to help the folks that were hit by the cyclone. Well, what about the folks here on our own soil that are starving? Granted most are too lazy to work, but not all... especially the children who have no choice in the matter.

And if you hadn't heard last week the discovered a bunch of chinese counterfeit routers the U.S. Government has installed in places like the CIA, Pentagon, Congress. It appears they have embedded chips that allow the chinese easy access to our most critical networks. Yeah I'm gonna support that.

That just doesn't make any sense. Why would they do something like that? I just don't get it.

I agree bootlegger about the suzuki being first ATV. I was just making reference to the Mr. Honda comment and it just seems like honda was the first because they've produced so many and been in it so long.
