| Muddy Gras Okay so who all has plans to go this year? South is at General Sams again, North is still up in the air.
Gator Run has apparantly decided to hold their own Mardi Gras party this year so Muddy Gras will not be their.
So do you plan to go to Gator Run or to where ever Muddy Gras is held? I suspect Muddy Gras will be the bigger event as it has been around longer and is more established. |

| The 2010 Texas Redneck Events Muddy Gras NORTH will be held at the TREE Offroad Events Park. http://www.redneckoffroadparty.com/m...north_2010.htm Description: Approximately 2500 acres in Southern Cherokee County with miles and miles of trails, woods roads, creeks, sloughs, plenty of primitive campground that will accomodate large campers/rv's and tents with a beautiful 80 acre lake right in the middle.
There are no electrical or water hookups available at this time but water is available to fill tanks , barrels , etc.
There will be hot water showers , port-o-potties and an atv wash area.
This property is not an active ATV Park but could possibly end up being one. It is only for use for the 2010 MUDDY GRAS "NORTH" Event at this time and CANNOT BE RIDDEN PRIOR TO OR AFTER THIS EVENT. MORE INFO ABOUT THE EVENT WILL BE UP SOON!! Thanks for your patience! Hotels: The nearest towns are Rusk, Nacogdoches, Alto and Lufkin. |

| We havn't made a decision yet as to where we're going.
The pictures of this facility are beautiful however, it says that it is not an active ATV park... so I wonder just how capable it is of handling the number of people who usually attend this event.
Not real crazy about the idea of General Sam's (between it being so small, and the owner and I having a bit of a disagreement a couple of years ago)...
The Gator Run thing sounds pretty cool, just not sure the numbers will be there to get a good show?
Hmmmmmm... decisions decisions. |

| I'm all about virgin territory... hell, virgins in general.... but.....
virgin territory + 5,000 or more drunk rednecks + 2500 or so RV's and tents + vendors + a cold-ass 80 acre lake + all in the middle of a 2500 acre property that's never been used as an ATV park before.....
Could either end up being one bad-ass party...
Or one big-ass disaster.
Decisions.... decisions.... |

| Just talked to Oscar with TRE yesterday to get some information about this new park.
He said it is a deer camp, which is about what I had figured... and that most of the trails throughout the park are wide enough for a pickup to pass through.
He says there are miles and miles of trails, and that you can ride all the way around the 80 acre lake in the center of the park... which is about a 3 mile run in itself.
(I can already see some people doing some STUPID stuff on the shores of that lake.... i.e. getting stuck... or wake-boarding behind a Rhino...LOL)
He says that the camping is very similar to OO-Ranch where the event was held the year before last, it's spread out and you can camp almost anywhere which means hopefully folks won't be crowding in on top of each other like last year.
No dedicated mud pits at this park YET but if the event is successful and they don't leave it trashed, then the owner may allow TRE to make it an actual ATV park and do improvements of the sort.
Vendors for food and merchandise will be there, as will port-o-potties and port-o-showers and a bike wash station.
The vendors that he mentioned (there may be others this is just what he told me)
Crawfish
Fried Catfish
Gumbo
Corny Dogs
Beads/Flags/Signs
I wasn't too sure about the facility until I talked to him, if the trails are wide enough and the camping is big enough to accommodate all the folks... I'm game.
So far the roster of attendees is as follows:
Diverboss & Mermaid
Ccrane, B, & Diesel
Fishmstr
Slic4
F-Stick
Bigdaddynate
If anybody else wants to come, just post it here or PM one of us for more info.
I think everybody is just ready to try some place new... we've been to every E. Texas ATV park except for River Run.... hoping to do that one this summer. |
