ATV/UTV adventurers, explorers and enthusiasts are welcome to participate in the Bobcat Trail Ride in the Stillwater Mountains Saturday, April 7.
Participants should meet at Harmon Junction gas station/food mart located approximately four miles east of Fallon where the ride will begin near 9 a.m. The ride includes a trail from the valley floor along the crest of the Stillwater Mountain Range. Incredible views of Dixie and Lahontan Valley are a couple of perks along with visits to a couple of old cow camps.
The trail, on a difficulty scale of one to five is a four and is not recommended for new or novice riders. There are several steep, rocky hills and shelf roads with a total ride distance of 40 miles.
Those interested should bring goggles, bandana scarf or dust mask, water, snacks and/or lunch, sun block, bug spray and weather-appropriate clothing. If one has a FSR type radio, the ride uses channel 7
