FALLON- All ATV enthusiasts are welcome to meet Saturday, April 28 for the Mountain Wells Run.
Interested parties should meet at Harmon Junction Gas Mini-Mart in Fallon at 8:30 a.m. where food, water, gas and ice are available.
The ride will depart shortly thereafter for nearly 30-minute drive to the staging area.
This ride, on a scale of 1 to 5, is a 2 with mostly easy trails into the Stillwater Mountains through Sheep Canyon, La Plata Canyon and maybe 11 Mile Canyon. With this, there will be a couple of steep hills and a stretch of off camber riding.
Overall, the ride will be between 40 and 70 miles long depending on where the turnaround point occurs.
One should pack a lunch or snacks, plenty of water, sun screen, bug spray and extra fuel if needed. Goggles and a scarf or bandana are a must, as there will be dust. If one has FRS radio (a little FM walkie-talkie) the ride uses channel 7.
For more information, one should contact Bruce Cooper at (775) 427-4435 or email at dutyandme@yahoo.com.
Also, one may contact Danny Smith at 427-2522 or email at danlyn@charter.net.
