In the Market for a Toy Hauler

Ok, I knew this would happen. Took my wife riding for the first time and before we got out of the gate good (heading home), She told me that she wants to invest in a Toy Hauler. So that we do not have to borrow a camper and also so that we do not have to pull two trailers and two trucks. So the question that I have is,

What is the best bang for the buck as far a toy haulers go?

When you're hunting for one, make sure you'll be able to fit both bikes in there comfortably. We went looking and they didn't look wide enough to put our Polaris 700's side by side.

IF I was in the market for one, there are several things I would look at VERY closely:

1. I would NOT want one all-open, the smell of gasoline is the LAST thing I want to smell when I'm trying to sleep (or something else). Or for that matter the smell of a fresh cow-patty you rode through just prior to driving the bike up into the rig. A separate living quarters/toybox would be a necessity in my world.

2. Ease of cleaning. We all know good and well we're gonna load em up muddy, I want something I can take a hose or pressure washer and rinse out without ruining anything. (i.e. diamond plate floors & half-walls)

3. Facilities. I want full self-contained capability... a trailer is worthless if ya have to cart around a bunch of extra CRAP to make it usable in the field.

4. Weight.... can your truck haul it?

5. Insurance... I've never owned a toy-hauler, but I've heard that RV insurance is much higher for a toy-hauler due to the onboard fuel stations/fuel in the bikes inside the rig which creates an increased risk.

6. Size... ya got a place to put it?

7. As I told you earlier... DO NOT buy a Forest River product.. THEY SUCK.

8. Just do all this thinking to yourself and pull up with the damn thing on your way home from work one night.... surprise her.....

Two words - Bonus Points.

We have an enclosed utility trailer that we modified....It may be for sale if the Rhino does not fit. But Chad has a THOR hauler and it is nice. Not sure how many bikes fit in the back.
