The perfect blend of comfort, capability, ruggedness and functionality. - [Yamaha]

Key Features:
  • Grizzly 450 Automatic 4x4 has all the same great features as big brothers Grizzly 660/700, including four-wheel independent suspension, and it’s powered by a fuel-efficient liquid-cooled engine.
  • Industry-exclusive, fully automatic Ultramatic® transmission is the most advanced drive system in ATVing. An automatic centrifugal clutch maintains constant belt tension for reduced belt wear and class-exclusive all-wheel downhill engine braking.
  • Industry-exclusive three-position On-Command® In/Out 4WD feature lets you switch between 2WD, limited-slip 4WD and class-exclusive fully locked differential 4WD—all with the simple push of a button. Override button allows engine to make maximum RPM in full Diff-Lock mode.
  • Class-exclusive fully independent long-travel four-wheel suspension features double-wishbone suspension front and rear with five-way preload adjustable shocks for maximum control and comfort over rough terrain.
  • 10.8 inches of ground clearance and high-impact plastic skid plate improve maneuverability and undercarriage protection.
  • Trick digital instrument panel boasts a multifunction LCD display with speedometer, odometer, dual tripmeters, hour meter, 4WD status, transmission position and clock.

Looks like they pulled the Kodiak stickers off the 05 Kodiak 450 and stuck on Grizzly..... bout all the change I see personally.

Little Grizzly

I have been riding a 2007 Grizzly 450 4x4 for several months now. Perfect trail quad. Plenty of power for the steepest hills. Top speed reached, 48MPH on a smooth but winding dirt road. I think I was close to top end, but I still had a little throttle left. It can pull 50+ MPH with a 190 lb rider on it. This is a rock climber for sure. I have it tuned at about 6000 ft elevation, but power is still good at 12,000 ft. I have not done anything to it to enhance horsepower, it is straight stock. I am running with a Kawasaki 650 most of the time and it has never gone anywhere the little griz' can't. No mechanical problems of any kind, either. Unless you are racing or mud running, 450 cc is plenty for all but the largest men. .

I agree, A great mid-size Quad.

I bought one for my wife this summer, she goes anywhere I go with my grizzly 660. It's a great mid size quad, climbs hills like a goat. I was going to upgrade to a 700, but the wife felt the 660 was too much for her to manuever in technical stuff, so we got her the 450. Now all I here is "I wanna ride" , which is a good thing.
