Pushbutton electric starting for quick easy starts in nearly any condition.
I picked up a 07 Wolverine a month ago. This is the most fun I've ever had riding an ATV. I use to ride a sport quad but all my buddies had 4x4's and witht eh mud and snow here in New England, I was starting to get into trouble without the 4x4. I started to look at 4x4's but didn't like most Utility Quads. Then I found the Wolverine. After calling every Yamaha dealership within 100 miles, I found one that had just gotten one in. It was still in the crate when I arrived at the dealership. So without ever riding one or even seeing one in person, I bought it without ever seeing inside the crate. After a few days of nerves thinking "what the heck was I thinking" I arrived to pick it up and have not regretted the decision. It handles fantastic through the woods.
A very good mix between a Sport and a Utility machine. Great machine.
has anyone taken it through the mud and water yet?if you did how deep and how did it do? how about climbing steep hills any problems with the automatic shifting? just wondering cause im considering getting one. thanks for any answers.
I've mostly done trail riding, and stayed away from the deep stuff. I've only had it 3-4 inches above the floor boards in water, but that was no problem. It seems to moive along in moderate mud. I can't imagine it would be a "mud beast" of any kind. The stock tires seem good on trails but not real aggresive.
Hills are a breeze, it'll climb anything. This machine is a great trail bike.
Why is it soo hard to find anything(after market) for the 450 SE>? Ive looked everywhere..its almost like its not sporty enough to be found in sport sections and same for utility..( any help would be awesome

Which aftermarket parts/accessories are you trying to find?
The only bike specific performance parts for the Wolverine are directly from Yamaha. Skid plates, racks, exhaust, exhaust, etc. (Well, at least anything I can find.)
I don't think it's a big enough seller for the aftermarket companies to go wild over.
See, the thing is.. im interested in a lift, 25" mud bug's, jet kit, exhaust, front +back rack , if they make'em ..im real new to the 4wheelers, this is my first..all i've ever done is jeep off-roading, my problem is, want to pull as much power as i can, but not familiar with what is needed to do this) sry, for the run-on guys and gals P

I checked that place out and it mostly had exaust add-ons. I'm still wanting to find a lift and a front rack.
OK...wasn't sure if they could direct you in the right direction for the rack or if they could get it. It never hurts to ask though (as they've probably had these questions before).
