hey boot. them maxxis bighorns. i am sure they would do great in all terrain but how do they perform in mud and softer stuff?

ya see i've been doin some thinkin and was able to see some of the atv trails in the mountains and was actually able to see what atv ridin was all about. not just deep mud and i've started to change my idea of ridin. i enjoy muddin but with the past few things i've found broken that all contribute to deep swamp muck have deteured me away from 24/7 mud ridin. now i am lookin to transform my quad into more than a mud machine.

now granted i'm still gonna be in mud a good bit but not as deep and not as often. so now i'm kind of lookin for a all terrain/mud tire. more all terrain and smoothe ride, with good durabilty along with the potential to do well when the stuff gets prettty thick. ya understand what i'm sayin. got any tips on that kind of tire and is the bighorn the kind of tire i'm lookin for?

I was affraid to buy them cause everyone said they stink in the Mud. I go on 60 miles rides alot so i wanted somthing good for that as well. I thouht I would just find out for myself if they go good. THEY DO!!!! I have been through stuff with them that i didn't think there would be a chance. You will be suprised at how they go. The is a Bighorn 2 out now that is lighter...but the tread pattern is a little different.

BOOTLEGGER SOLD ME ON THE IDEA SEVERAL WEEKS AGO, I HAD SWAMPLITES ON MY BRUTEFORCE AND I GOT STUCK ALOT ESPECIALLY COMING OUT OF THE CREEK ON SANDBARS, I MUST SAY I'VE BEEN VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEM, THEY WORK GREAT IN THE SAND AND WORK ALOT BETTER IN THE MUD THEN THE SWAMPLITES EVER DID, PLUS THEY LAST A HELL OF ALOT LONGER.

do you think they would do as weel as the stock mudlites on a big bear in the mud. i know thats kind of weird question case every kind of mud is different but i was wounder if you'd have an idea. i'm pretty cofident they would out preform them in everything else. cause them mudlites have now do all i really need. i just want a tougher and more all terrain tire.

that bighorn seems like it is, i just wanted to kinow from someone who had them

i've also read reviews and everyone says their weakest spot is the mud but that could all be bases on several different types of mud as well as rider experiance. hell i've seen pics of these tires hittin a rock and bending the rims all up but the tire was in good shape as it was before. thats the kind of tough i want along with the ability to handle mild mud and sometimes thicker mud that we got down here

Well i can tell ya this about the bighorns, A guy I ride with has mudlites and I can go everywhere he goes, granted I do have more ground clearance then him. I can also go through it in reverse thats something he can't do. He has a 350 bruin 4x4 and I believe his tires are 26" but i'm not certain on that. Buying tires is a alot of money, It really just comes down to what your riding eviroment is. I spen the majority of my time riding in a sandy creek that's real soft sand, I also ride in mud with and I ride to check on cows so they're perfect for what I do. they do ride alittle rough for the first 30 miles or so till they break in but after that it's smooth and the handling is great!

Chech out the Swamplites, They go O K in the mud.
Can handle any trail ridin with a smooth ride. Just
keep them off the pavement and you will get average
wear. Good luck with your decision.

I took 26 inch Mulites XL's off mine to go with Big Horns. Yes they do go better. but again Rider plays a huge factor in it. I mean I wouldn't take them to the Mud Nationals or anything. LOL! They do go better that Mudlites though

like i said. i'm kind of changin my ridin style. meaning not goin to be in mud at the tops of the tires 24/7.

i just want a tougher tire, with a tougher sidewall that can handle more terrains better in forward as well as in reverse and can handle mud atleast as well as my current mudlite A/T. also one that'll wear better.
