| Unfortunately the best upgrade would be a for sale sign. Not to be a downer but there are way too many no name brands out there and I can never help people for parts or accessories or just about anything. The other bad part is they do seem to have a lot more issues than your name brand machines. I very rarely have any kind of mechanical parts requested for the name brands but with the chinese brands I see broken shocks alot, worn out wheel bearings quite often, Ignition problems, key switch issues, throttle cables etc... | | | | Jun 18th, 07, 02:04 PM | | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Texas

| Not when I bought two of them brand new for $800, but they served their purpose. If I had asked my wife if I could buy a $6,000 ATV she would have laughed at me. Now after a year and a half of the little 110's I am the proud owner of a Rancher 400 AT.
Anybody want to buy two lightly used 110cc Chinese four wheelers? | | | | Jul 9th, 07, 07:20 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007

| Everyone has been so negative in all these forums about these chinese bikes and upgrading. I actually just bought a 2007 sunl sla250 full size sport quad for myself. i am the type of person who upgrades everything I own, so guess what 2" wheel spacers and 12" wheels have been ordered. I just measured my lug pattern and back spacing and figured out wheels would work on my bike. This is the first of many upgrades. Point is buy a digital caliper measure your wheels and upgrades are possible. Anyone else ever upgrade there chinese ATV ? I would like to do a exhaust and intake next, then suspension. | | | | Jul 11th, 07, 09:54 AM | | J Boyz Motorsports Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Coulterville, Illinois

| as far as rims & tires - just measure your rim & get the bolt pattern - then you can order any rims you like (ans wheel spacers)...
You are pretty safe ordering exhause for a Honda 250 for your SunL 250 - you may have to do a little mod. on it - but wont be much.... nothing a welder can't handle.... | | | | Jul 11th, 07, 08:08 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007

| Got my wheel spacers today and put them on. My bike is now 4" 's wider, should have took pics in case anyone cared to see, look great !, Im still waiting for my tires and wheels to come in, should be here soon.
I also ordered a new pair of aluminum handle bars, grips and a a new cobra front bumper, the sunl uses the same size bumper mounts as a honda 300ex, once again I just measured . If anyone needs help upgrading let me now, or if someone has an upgraded chinese atv I would love to see pics | | | | Jul 11th, 07, 08:11 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007

| For what your spending you could have bought a real nice used Honda. Trust me I have two Kazuma 110's after a year they are falling apart. Now one is parts to keep the other running. I must say they have GREAT motors it's just everything else that sucks. Make sure you use loctite on all of the bolts, they like to rattle out. Put 5" spacers on mine it helped immensly. I must say for the $500 I spent on each they have been a lot of fun. | | | | Jul 12th, 07, 12:48 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007

| You will. The bushings on my swingarms are shot, gotta find new ones, BigdaddyNate has done one to many wheelies on it. Like I said great little motors and lots of fun, but I'll take my Rancher, much more reliable.
can you guess which one has the 5" spacers? http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a85...t=DSCF0133.jpg | | | | Jul 13th, 07, 06:34 AM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007

| Fish, Well my bike isnt a 110 and its a newly designed 2007 sport model (raptor style) and it is a full size bike not a scaled down 110. Im not saying its the best bike but what makes you so sure ill need bushings and they are gonna cost me big money? I know of 3 parts distributors and they seem to have all the parts in stock for reasonable prices .
How much was your bushing $12.00, how much is one for a jap bike?, probably more!
And if you cant find a part I can always make one or find a compatable part off another bike. | | | | Jul 13th, 07, 06:39 AM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007

| Fish, You only put spacers on the rear wheels? Why? Are they real solid billet spacers or are they the individual ones that bolt onto your lugs? | | | | Jul 13th, 07, 09:40 AM | | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Texas

| I was only going to put spacers on 1 of them. Turns out the front are a different size bolt, so I just spaced the back on both. They are the individual spacers, REALLY makes a big difference in the handling. They almost run like a real four wheeler. If I can find the bushing for that swingarm maybe I can keep the chain tight. Then I bought the Rancher a few days later. Spacers were a lot cheaper. | | | | Jul 13th, 07, 09:45 AM | | J Boyz Motorsports Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Coulterville, Illinois

| Jet Moto makes some really nice wheel spacers. The are CNC machined from solid 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. I have them on my quad & have sold them for many quads. MIC quads and for many of the big 4 name brands. They are 4/110 bolt pattern. ATV SPACERS | | | | Jul 13th, 07, 11:14 AM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007

| well my spacers are cnc machined too like the jetmoto one, i used honda ex400 in the rears 4x110 and raptor 80 in the fronts 4x88 bolt pattern. I also ordered the wheels the same way 10x5 in the fronts 3+2 offset (not 12's typo) polished itp t9 pros and itp t9 pros 10x8 3+5 offset. The tires I got were itp holeshots 21x7x10 front and 20x11x10 rears. Anyway the cnc machined spacers are much better quality, the others snap and you should try spacing the fronts also, handles much better! | | | | Jul 13th, 07, 11:43 AM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007

| If you are having trouble keeping a chain on your MIC quad - try putting a good chain tensioner on it. We have a lot of brands come in our shop for repairs (many that keep a chain on) - we put Jet Moto's chain tensioner on many of them - it is not a "bolt on" deal though - takes a little modifying - but works great. We have had several customers order the chain tensioner for their "name brand" quads as well... | | | | Jul 21st, 07, 02:01 PM | | Free 800 Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Des Moines

| The chinese brands are great starter bikes. My son is riding a 250 "chinese" quad. So far we have added: aluminum rims, aluminum h-bars, nerf bars, AC racing front bumper, AC racing 6-pack rack, rear 4" wheel spacers, whit brothers steering stabilizer, and currently modifying an exhaust system then he is wanting to do a little modifying on the motor..... The oil cooled 250 motor has many mods you can make on it & this is a great learning experience for my son - making him do all of the work! And the best part is.... he still doesn't have as much in the quad as a name brand 80cc....
The chinese quads are great starter bikes - yet I like them for the kids because kids outgrow their bikes so fast & at these prices - you can afford to upgrade every year or two.... | | | | Mar 25th, 08, 11:31 PM | | Member Join Date: Feb 2008

| The name brands are possibly over priced, but thats only because people are willing to pay for it.
Your not paying 10k for a brand name, the big four more than likely deisgned the knock off machine you are riding.
It just took the Chinese a while to bootleg a raptor.
If you think your Chinese knock off ATV will hold up to one three times its price, your kidding yourself.
If it sounds too good to be true, it likely is.
Lets not kid ourselves, China is a poor, developing country.
Most people in China do not own a car, they likely all have mini bikes and $800 four wheelers.
There is a demand for cheaply manufactured small engined vehicles.
Try getting someone in China to spend 10k on a four wheeler.
Have you not been buying the same cheap Chinese crap at WalMart that breaks in one day like everyone else?
Just don't let your kids chew on that Chinese ATV plastic. | | | | Mar 26th, 08, 12:13 AM | | Mar 26th, 08, 06:47 AM | | Super Moderator STAFF Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Crossville,TN

| I have a V bike that I have fliped, rolled, hot rodded to death from the first day I got it, and it's holding up just fine. People that can't take the few extra minutes to lock tight bolts when the recieve there quad should'nt ride because I have seen it on name brands also, thats why you check things before trail riding. | | | | Jun 2nd, 08, 09:39 PM | | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007
