new here, tire & rim question?

Hello all,
Looks like I'm the new guy. I was looking at getting a suzuki king quad 450, had the money saved up and everything. But then I used the money on a house down instead, can't live in a four wheeler anyways. However I recieved an 02 bayou 220 for a house warming present from the parents. Now its not nearly as cool as a brand new king quad, but it is still entertaining and when I get the money saved back up I'll get myself that kingquad. I already have the bayou piped, jetted, K&N, and a winch. The bayou is like brand new, in perfect shape not even a scratch on the plastic. The question is I want to get a more aggressive tire, and some decent looking rims would be nice also. Whats available and whats been getting the best reviews?. I ride some mud, snow, more trails, river bottom (lots of rocks) and sometimes cross the river in some low spots. any suggestions, ideas?

thanks,
J Rigby

Most of the guys and gals here seem to love the mudlites. that would be the tires I would look into.

By the way, welcome to Mudbog, and good move getting the house situation squared away before buying a new bike. Plenty time still to get new bikes later.

well I have been looking at alot of tires, for it. I was going to go with the dirt devils at first, but I found out the mud lites you can get in a 23x10x10 so I went with them on some douglas .190 aluminum rims, and I went with a 22x8x10 mud lite for the front on a douglas .160 aluminum rim. I just would rather go taller than wider I only could get the dirt devils in a 22x11x10 and I like the narrower tires for the snow anyways. I didnt want something so aggressive up front because its only a 2wd but decided I would rather have the same look and couldn't find any that I liked. Total came to a little over $400 with shipping to have it here thursday. Nobody local could even get aluminum rims for it. So I used rockymountainatv.com I'll let you know how the tires do and post some pics when I get them thanks guys
