Outlaw MST review
Well, I finally got my Outlaw MST's. I went with the 27x9.5x12 front and the 27x12x12 rear. To anybody thinking about getting these tires, Get them. Don't second guess yourself. These tires are outstanding. We have a ton of snow here in the Adirondak Mnt.s in New York, and the MST's can handle it. They took me anywhere I wanted to go and most of the time in 2WD. Although if I stopped in the deep stuff I had to put it in 4WD to get it going again. Also, throttle control is crucial. I punched the throttle once and I went straight down. But these tries backed me out and I crawled through where I got stuck when I went ahead slowly.
Now the handling on these tires is what really sets them apart from the rest of the tires. These tires make my Arctic Cat 650 V2 LE ride like a Cadillac. I havurn te always found the steering on the big Arctic Cats to be really stiff, to the point where the wife doesn't like driving it. But with these tires the steering improved over the stock tires. It got a lot easier. Turn the bars with minimal effort and the bike goes instantly where you point it with no "pushing" into corners.
I haven't had a chance to test them in the mud as it's all covered by a coupe feet of snow. But when the weather breaks here in a couple of weeks and the spring mud gets here you an bet I'll be back with a full report of the mud capabilities. They look like they will do excellent. The pictures you see of these tires on the internet don't do them any justice. They look a lot more agressive in person.
My buddy has a Rincon with 26" ITP Mud Lites so here are some pictures of the two tires on our bikes side by side for reference.
