LOL! bootlegger, you are like me. I'm like a woman with her shoes. I want different sizes, styles and names brands... and a lot of them.
Jake P, a Mudzilla may be a little more forgiving because they dont grip as good as an Outlaw (IMO), but they are heavier if I'm not mistaken. If you are going to get a tire like the Mudlights, then go with Mudlight XTR's. I've read a lot of posts that say that the Mudlights do not do well in reverse. Maybe try the Zilla's (not Mudzillas) which are the lightest tire on the market. I personally love the Mudtrax, but the biggest you can get them in is 26X11. 589's and Executioners are really good too, but a bit heavy. The Executioners look like they run really small, which I think most Kenda tires do. For me personally, I would stay away from Swamplites because they are too soft and wear way to fast. I've read lots and lots of good comments about the Mudbugs. Maybe you should check them out. The lug pattern seems to be a mini-me of the Outlaws..... kinda.

cottonmouth, I agree, $100 a tire is to expensive for my blood too and I honestly could care less whether it is a radial or not. There are plenty of tires that perform better for a lot cheaper price. Heck, there's not much difference in the XTR and the 589 tread pattern and you can get the 589 cheaper. Lucky for me, I only have to buy two tires when I get new ones. Thats the plus to having a 2wd.
hey what dose anyone think bout them kenda executioners? i mean i don't look much intot them cause i can't find the specs and no one ever talks bout them. dose anyone have a pair and how do they perform? and also how much they weight?
I've heard that they pull great, but I've also heard that they are very heavy. It's a Kinda, so they are gonna run smaller. I have seen them on a friends atv a time or two and his 27's look small. They do not have much side bite but will move you forward good. They are also said to be tuff as nails. They look awesome too. If they are anything like the Kenda BearClaw, then they will last a lifetime.
My main issue would be weight and not true to size... but most tire on the market are not anyway.
CottonMouth, go to the video and pictures section and look at the video "420, Brute, Can-Am, Razor and Arctic Cat". Its not much to see, but the Arctic Cat has Executioners. This probably wont help you any. But oh well.
i'm just lookin for all sorts of different tires. each has their own niche i'm just tryin to see which would suite me best for the best price. mudbugs prob are still what i'm lookin for but it dosen't hurt to look around. but everything you said i've heard to be true as well about the kendas. i just want actuall specs. thats why i like maxxis and itp aswell as interco. on there offical websitre it has all that info
I'm with ya there. I am the same way. I like to do my homework before I buy. I will research and get advice, get on forums and so on before I buy. Several years ago, an ATV Magazine did a Mud Tire Shootout and it was great. If I read that article once, I read it a dozen times. I wish they would do something like that again... and maybe they have... I dont know. I don't want to know what a 30" tire will do, I want to be practicle. I want to see tests on 26 and 27" tires. It also does not seem fair to judge a tire that goes through first against a tire that goes last. Seems that they should have several pits dug out the same.... or even better, They should bring them out to some of our riding locations and let us test these things. How about that??? I also get aggrevated when your given a weight on the tires, but they do not tell you if that includes the rims or not. I'd like to know lbs before mounted and after mounted.
I'm gonna step off now. Thanks for listening or should I say reading.
