need new tires on kodiak, suggestions??

i need new tires on my 97 kodiak and i have stock wheels. im gonna be doin trails, and low water rivers with sand. id like to get a little more clearance too if possible. this guy at the atv shop was tryin to sell me these tires called tarantulas or black widows or somethin, they had a spider on the sidewall if that helps. any suggestions would be great thanks!!

Sound like their pushing you towards the AMS Blackwidows. Don't know your budget but I would suggest going with MST's in either 26" or 27". Smooth riding down the trail but still have the capability of going through the muck if needed.

go with 26" no rub with this size, 27" might rub alittle. check out the maxxis mud bugs. i wish i would have got the 27" for my big bear, i thought they would've taken away to much power. the 26" seem to have the same power as the 25" did, i know they take more power to turn the bigger ones but you can't tell it at all on my big bear.

If you get the Bighorns they run really big the 26's are the size of almost all 27's. I have the 25's and they are the same size of the 26 inch Mudlite XL's i had.

Here is a pic of my 25 inch Bighorns mounted. It will give you an idea of how much clearance between the fender wells.
