| Bearclaw or Bearclaw EX I have a stock Honda Foreman 450. It needs a new set of treads. I want either the Kenda Bearclaws or Bearclaw EX. I noticed the Bearclaw EX were less agressive. I ride on a LOT of hard pack and gravel but also in quite a bit of mud, thick and at the most 2 feet deep. I heard the regular Bearclaws were heavy but just from one person. If anyone has ever used these or has any input, it is greatly appreciated.
I want a tire that will last a long time, won't break the bank at over $70 a tire, and will not rob me of horsepower but give me plenty of tracktion. If any other tires are good, please let me know. | | | | Apr 4th, 08, 08:48 PM | | Who's your daddy?!?!?! Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Iota, LA

| I haven't had much experience with Bearclaw or Bearclaw EX tires but judging by the look of the tire if you are planning on hitting a little mud they should be OK.
A couple of other suggestions would be the ITP 589s, I have them on my Rubicon... Hard Part Search - ATV Direct - ATV Tires and More - www.4ATVtires.com
or the new tires from Interco, the Swamplites... Swamp Lite :: Interco Tire
These are just a couple of other suggestions...good luck on your decision.... | | | | Apr 4th, 08, 08:49 PM | | Super Moderator STAFF Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Crossville,TN

| i love the set of bear claws that i have on my bayou they have good traction and wear like iron, and they don ''walk'' at high speeds. my bayous nick name is tank because i will drive strait thru a pile of black berrys with sticks glass sharp rocks ect and they are still holding the 5psi of pressure i put in them when i got them. and i dont think that there very heavy. i think you will be VERY happy with the bear claws | | | | Apr 10th, 08, 12:14 AM | | Mississppi Mud Join Date: Feb 2008

| Looks like I am going to get some Bear Claws. I found them on Chaparral-racing.com for only $48 for the front and $58 for the rear. That is atleast $6 cheaper than either motosport.com or rockymountainatv.com. Last place I am going to look is my local parts shop. | | | | Apr 18th, 08, 12:12 AM | | fixen um up 1 at a time Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: loma rica california

| You will love your bearclaws. I have some and my brother has had a pair for over 12 years and they still look great. Tough as nails and are one of the best all-terrain tires ever (in my opinion). They've been around for many years and have been overlooked since all the big tires have come along. Good choice!
The Mudtrax are good too! | | | |
