| Got the O.K. from the my wife OK I am ready to buy new tires for my 2007 brute 650 SRA how big can I go. Without any modifications I will possibly do a 2" lift but want to know what I can run. Also I am looking to buy motorsport alloy tellurides what back spacing will be the best to go with, or is it a standard thing. I have posted a thred before on some of thse question but am more serious to buy now. Maxxis mudbug or what? I ride on the road maybe 1/4 mile to get to where I ride. So lets have a vote I need to know all of this so I can buy thanks!

| I wouldn't go bigger than 27"
1/4 mile on pavement will take lugs down in a hurry... so I'd consider something Maxxis, and something AT like the Bighorn or something of the like. | | | | Apr 15th, 08, 10:00 PM | | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Springfield, GA

| The best all around tire for what you say
you are going to do in my opinion is the
Swamplites. Costs average and the can
handle just about anything you throw at
them. Good luck with your choice and ride
safe.

| If your wantinga good all around Tire get the Bighorns they will out last anyting out there. If your playing in the Mud get Mudbugs. Swamplites are good they just don't last very long tread wise unless you get 26 inch or up the tread is not deep enough on the 25's. I have had both 25 and 26's. anyone of those 3 are a good tire. | | | | Apr 17th, 08, 11:59 AM | | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007

| Ok everyone I bought my wheel and tire kit and waiting on them to get here. I bought 27" Maxxis Mudbugs on some Motor Sport Alloy Nukes (black and machined). I bought 10" in front and 12" in back. Sorry TooDeep, if I would have know they would have fit I would have gone with 12" in front. But as usual thanks again for all of your help. Happy mddy riding to all. | | | | Apr 21st, 08, 09:25 AM | | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007

| the 10's make it for easier riding because them 12's will reach out and grab stuff, ussually when your not wanting them to. I went with 12's for the float factor (riding snow, sand, mud etc) and i like the look of the wide fr. tire. congrats and i think you'll be happy with the bugs, i am. | | | | Apr 21st, 08, 08:01 PM | | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Springfield, GA

| i'll agree i don't neccesaraly like the weight and extra rolling resisatnce but wider tires certainly do look better. like trucks for example. i like narow tires cause i believe they perfrom better and less wear on drive train but they do look good and get things dirty fast

| I may be too late on this post, but I would NOT get swamplites. If you are riding on the road 1/4 mile there and then coming back, you will wear those tires way too fast. You will be upset that you made that choice when you are having to buy new tires in a year or maybe two if you are lucky. My friends have them and we rarely ride on the road and they still wear fast on hard packed dirt and gravel. They are just too soft a compound.
Go with something tougher like the BearClaw, MudGear, MudRunner or even the newer MudTrax. Those Mudtrax tires are very impressive. My brother has some on his 420 2wd and will shock the 4wd's. They are great! Only downfall is that the biggest is 26X11-12. | | | |
