Hey everyone i am new here and i just bought a 2008 king 750 and want to put some tires on it put not sure what to get. i will mainly be trail riding and and some weekends going to places where ill need somethin better than just a trail tire. can yall give some suggestions on some tires to get. and i plan on getting 27s
Man have you opened a can of worms. I would recommend the new Maxxis Zilla's (not the mudzillas). Others will recommend Mudbugs, bighorns, and Swampfox or mudlites. Swampfox and mudlites wear out to fast for me. I myself like the Mudgears by Innova, they are a little heavier but they are tough as nails and great for trail riding, they also do real good in mud for an all around tire.
Swamplites, Great all around tire.and you can
use it in the mud with confidence. Don't have a
bad thing to say about them. Good luck with
whatever you decide to go with.

BRING IT HOME IN ONE PIECE....................
ya know i ain't much for swamplites but from what you said bout your ridin style those'll prob do ya great or the new itp terracross tires. i have mudlites a/t and they aren't bad but the more i ride in different kinds of situations i've learned there not the best but one good darn trail tire and hold out preety good in mud, even the deep stuff..except they have the tendancy to cake up very bad and are hard to get clean. gotta spin um pretty good.
i hear everyone talkin bout maxxis bighorns.. i guess there a good tire as well...but if i was you don't go anymore than 26". but thats my opinion. i know for my next tire im prob gonna get the maxxis mudbugs, if not, i'll get maxxis zilla or go back to a larger tread mudlite
thank yall for ur suggestions. i was really lookin at and liking the zillas. would an 11 inch in the front scrub with the stock suspension
No they won't rub. I would get Bighorns cause they will outlast any tire out there. Just remember BH's run big. the 25's measure the same as most 26's. and the 26's measure liekmost 27's. Rocky Mountian ATV is the cheapest place to get BH's. 25 inch is $351.00 shipping and all.
i think i may go with the zilla. i really like them. does anyone know how they ride and handle?
Of course they ride a little rougher than stock but not much, considering what you get in the mud with them the ride can be considered very good. I've been really impressed with a neighbor Grizz 450 that is running them. Great trail riding tire and great for mud (it's no Mudzilla of course). I think they do better in the mud than Mudbugs do and they ride better on trails. Neighbor also has a Bruin 350 with Mudbugs so I've been able to see what both will do. Once I wear out my Mudgears I'll probably order me some Zillas.
Kenda Bearclaw is a very tough tire and will last you a long long time. They do not run true size though, but they will handle everything you throw at them. They have been around for many years and to me are one of the most under-rated tire out there.
I tried out my new Zilla's today and was really impressed, never had to lock it in on any mudholes or even gas on it hard to get through a hole. Rode fairly smooth on the trails too.
