Smile Front and rear rims different

I'm getting ready to replace the tires on my 01 polaris 500 HO and noticed the front rims are 12 inch and the rear 10 inch. Is this normal? Can I replace the 10 inch rear rims with 12 inch rims without screwing up the 4X4?

yes, as long as you get the same size (diameter) tire.
