Your going to notice a difference with 27's....not much but you will. If you run 26's You won't be able to tell the difference at all and it won't wear anything any worse than the Factory 25's no matter what brand you get. If it was me depending on the Brand i would go with 26's. I personally like the Mudbugs better than the Zilla's. But again that my opinion. You can run 27 inch Mudlites and it won't hurt anything cause the BB is so low geared.
If you get off set wheels and spacers and so on that is where you get your wear from. Tire size and weight is not a real big factor on wear as long as you don't get crazy with size. Stay around 26 inch or maybe some 27's in certain brands and you will be fine.

I have mudlites,i stayed with the stock size because any larger will change the way the speedo reads and could effect the handling of the atv.depends on the kind of riding you do,but i do know that tires make a huge difference, did for me.happy trails.

26in

I want 26in but if I have to I'll stick with 25in I will. I'm probally going to get a clutch kit, K&N airfikter, and maybe a jetkit.I already have a HMF. I mostly trial ride but when I hit the mud i want to be up ther with my friends Brute Force. I dont care about the roughness of the ride.

If you arent gonna go with anything bigger than a 26 or 27, don't waste your money on the silverback. The Outlaws are the way to go if you go aggressive. Anything smaller than the 31 or 32.... whatever the biggest Silverback is, then the lugs are no different than the outlaws and with the laws, you get the full rounded to the side of the tire lug. Silverbacks cut the corner round off the lug off, I guess to make it different. So why pay all the extra money when you get more with the outlaw and in my opinion dont get any better performance with the silverback. My friend has 28 silverbacks and I am no more impressed with them than the outlaws. Now if you get the bigboy silverback, thats another story..... massive lugs...WOW!

The lugs on the 27 & 28 inch Silverbacks are bigger thatn the Outlaw lugs.

I think your worrying a little to much about the bigger tires .LOL! You will NOT be able to tell the difference between 25 & 26 inch Performance wise. Unless its a BIG 25 inch tire I would atleast 26's. Some 25's measure the same as 26's.

ohh by the way. i guess the reason the mudzillas aren't that good is cause of the way the tread gos. no as much sidewall, or as think of tread. not to mention lookin at it, it is a much more forward directional tire. outlaws would be better in both forward and reverse

From what I have used and seen the tread is to forward...I guess you could say. They don't go as good as say Vampires, Outlaws, and Silverbacks. Vampires are another great Mud tire you can get in smaller sizes.

They may be a little bigger, but IMO dont think that it would be worth the big price difference. I'm kinda cheap though. Now the the big daddy silverbacks lugs look HUGE. I've never seen those in person though. I'm not at all saying that the SB's dont perform, I'm just comparing performance vs price and I just dont see that it's worth the extra money. Thats just my opinion.

IMO i thinkin those are nuilt for those who live off mud racing. for the avg joe who has the avg quad the medium mud tires (bugs, zillas, mudlites, etc) are more practical than going off the way with mud bitches, mudzillas, and outlaws. im lookin at bugs cause i found a place were i can get them for 55 for the front tires and 65 in the rear. great tread depth and pattern for a cheap price so those are what im goning with. im think bout sellin my current mudlites for $40 and help compensate for the price. i mean they only got 350 miles on them and no punctures or probs so it'll help pay for new tires.

i would like to wait longer but if i wait any longer they'll lose value and be worth more for me to keep than to sell. we'll see

i'm running bugs and love them, i had mud lites and 589's - they are good tires but imo the bugs are way better.

this don't look like a bad tire either

what are the flaws of the bugs if there is any. i know they aren't as extreme as the mudzillas, or as tough as the 589s, and aren't as light as the mudlites but they meet in the middle of all that from what i've read and looked up.

the reason why is i found at trax motorsports i can get my set of tires for $260. i'd say thats pretty cheap and for a good tire i can prob aford to buy them this summer. not to mention i'm thinkin of sellin those mudlites. but instead of goin to go and buy the bugs i'm gonna wait till i have a confirmed buyer. if no onw wants them i'll hold off til the end of the year. there a good tire just not aggressive enough for me.

Hey toodeep, I have a pair of Mudrunners 27X12-12, that I run on the back of my 350 2wd sometimes. I used to have them on the back of my 500 Foreman 2wd until it bit the dust. Those tires are really good tires and very tough too. Great for all around purpose.

Might I suggest the Outlaw MSTs? Not quite as agressive a mud tire as Silverbacks or full Outlaws, but they seem to work great for me. I have been in mud up to the seat and it worked great. The ride is also VERY smooth on hardpack trails and rocks. Tough tire too.
