Not as fast as my motocross bikes, but in four low will put you in some spots that pull just as much adrenaline. hope it holds up.

Have a 2007 650 and low end power is excellent. Even riding at 20 mph, you have to be careful when you get on it. I have had it up to 50 mph but have been told it will top out around 65. More than I need.
Has been trouble free and with a 6.5 gal tank, you can go a long way.
Ride is really nice and although it sits high, has not been a problem. Have traveled with Honda, Polaris, Yamaha and Can Ams and have not had problems keeping up with them.
Would highly recommend you take a look at one before you buy another brand. For the money, there is a lot of machine.

MY OPINION ONLY!!! I can not understand why anyone would buy one of these. I have a friend who bought one about 3 weeks ago, about one week after I bought my KITTY KILLER. Now he can not figure out why he can not keep up with me, or for that matter pull someone out of a mud hole as easy as I can. The 650 is 130 lbs. heavier than a brute 750 and 100 cc smaller. It is also around 800.00 more expensive (in our area). I think some people are getting ripped off when they buy the little kitty, when they could have a bigger lighter machine for less money. This is just my opinion I dont want to piss anyone off or make anyone mad. Pac

Hi Pacman,
Nice meeting you. Don't worry about hurting my feelings.
We looked at all the popular ATVs and found they all were great but, had advantages and disadvantages. We mainly use them for trails and riding on old logging roads. We enjoy the outdoors and don't need to go more than 15-20 mph. But, when needed, we can stay with the "pack". Maybe, not your pack however, hi, hi. We don't look for mud to go through although we have never been pulled out. We have pulled others out that couldn't make it through the same mud hole. Also, use it to drag out logs cut up for firewood etc. Guess what I am saying is it works for us. We looked a Yamaha, Can Am and Polaris and they were great machines. When it came time to buy, they were $500-800 more up here, plus we got two more years on the warranty. And, being 6'5" and 260 the machine just fit a little better.
Hey your happy with yours as we are with ours. That's all that is important.
We have some great trails in Upper Michigan. From our house, we can go at least 150 miles or more. Not to mention the side trips. Along the way, there are restaurants, gas and hotels. Here is a link to some of the bigger trails. If you ever get a chance to ride up here, you will enjoy it.

Have a great day and enjoy your kitty killer.

Hello Marv...
Sounds like that's just the right bike for you guys
I'm really envious of those of you that get to ride straight out the front door.
My dad has an older Arctic Cat and it's still ticking (even after all it's been through ).

By the way, and glad to have you on the site!

Enjoy the ride!

I think it is the low end torque, superior ground clearance, and suspension travel of the 650 that sets the Cat apart, no offence. The only thing bigger on the kawi is the cc, and because the brute is lighter and less money up front may not equal dependibility, no offence. If you want speed Can Am is the way to go for now, until the Thundercat hits the sales floor, no offence.

Cat

The Arctic Cats are not race machines for sure... but why buy a utility if you want to go fast??? The torque and depenability is why I bought mine, I love it no regrets!
