There's strengths in numbers. Especially numbers like 700cc. If bigger is better, then this one is best. It's 695cc of nasty DOHC, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. All waiting for you to put it to good use. - Arctic Cat
I have a 2006 just like the one in the picture. It has 51 miles. Since brand new it has always had a cold start problem. Spins over about 12 to 15 times and spits through the throttle body before starting up. Will stall after running aboput thirty seconds. Start up and when you try to accelerate will stall unless the egine is totally warmed up. Havs anyone heard of this on these bikes?

Sounds like your air/fuel mixture might be off ....just a thought
Thanks
That is what they are telling me at the dealership but they do not know what to do ti fix it. Even called Arctic Cat last Friday. they said air/fuel, possible tps adjustment. Am going to take it back right after the first of the year and let them see if they can figure it out.
Thanks again for the reply.
Stan
Will do. I am taking it back right after Christmas. I spoke with the service manager this week, they have talked to Arctic Cat technical but no new news yet. If all else fails I will order a service manual and have my Toyota master tech take a look if the manual has all of the troubleshooting information and pid data for the fuel injection.
Thanks
Stan
I recently got a 2007 700 and I love it. It took me a little over a week and I had over 140 miles on it. I have go bring it in cause the over ride button hasn't been working all the time. I think its the best wheeler I've ever been on, but thats my personaly opinion.
I agree. I think this ride is awsome. I am going to take mine back in this week and let the dealer look at it again. We'll see what happens. By the way snopro,, how is your on cold start?
Cat is at the dealer. Been there since January 4, 2007. So far they have replaced the injector and ecu, adjusted the valves and now they say Arctic cat said to put in an iridium plug. The guy I talked to today said that starts worse now than when I brought it in. Starting to get frustrated and thinking about a trade. If I keep someones car in our toyota shop three weeks and all we do is swap parts, man we catch the stuff. Thanks for the replys guys. I'll keep posted as to the progress.
I am going to call Arctic Cat today and see what they can tell me. Being the service manager of a car dealership I know that sometimes things happen and the salesperson that I bought it from has been great. So I will probably give a few more days to see if problem is fixed before I make a decision to trade.
Got a call from my Arctic Cat dealer yesterday and said they had found the problem with my 700 efi. Said that there was no seal on the injector (old one or the new one) they replaced. Order one air freight overnight. Called me today and said that it was fixed, only spun over three times and cranked. It was 70 degrees here today. I told them to keep it and try it tomorrow morning again and let me know. Service manager also told me that if this did not fix the problem that Arctic Cat rep had stated that they were going to replace the bike. I'll keep updates going. Hopefully if anyone else has this concern it will not take 8 weeks to fix.
I heard it crank today. Only turned over three times and cranked. I told them to keep it overnight and try in the morning. Suppose to be in low 40's tonight. I let you know about tomorrow.
Well folks. The votes are in and the verdict is that the Cat is not fixed. I picked it up on Friday. Cranked it Friday afternoon not wuite as bad but temperature was in high 60's. Saturday at 45 still the same. Talked with the service manager tiday 02/13/2007 and they are in the process of trying to get me another bike. Suppose to know something today. Will keep posting information until we are finished
My dealer has been great and Arctic Cat has contacted me and told me that they are shipping a new bike today. It should be in next week. Hopefully this one will be ok. I know ther can be a bad seed in everything so time will tell. Thanks for all the comments.
Picked up the new bike today. Dealer and Arctic Cat really stepped up to the plate, even started my warranty over. Thanks for all the replys. This one cranks like a fuel injected engine should.
Glad to hear that you are happy with the new machine. I just ordered some new clutching for mine hoping to get some more bottom end out of it with the 27" tires I have on it. Good luck with your machine.
Glad to hear that everything worked out for you STANG.
You're one admirable person! I think there are many people that could learn some things from your experience Patience does pay off
Let us know how this bike works for you............and HAVE FUN!
I just installed the clutch kit two nights ago, and it was worth every dime. I got it from Speedwerx. They say that you might lose some top end but I actually gained about 4 mph. It is doing alot better in the snow around here with the kit.
Thanks for the info Snopro. I will probably do the same shortly. By the way everyone the new bike that Arctic Cat sent me is great. Cranks on the third rev in 30 degree weather and has more power than the one they could not fix. Thanks for all the comments.
So far I have around 1500 miles on mine and I love it. I did not like the way it cornered and I did not want to put a sway bar on it. I replaced the springs with High Lifters and what a difference.
