That site is a slap on the face! They (the Consumer Product Safety Commission) are actively lobbying against OHVs there!

They say this:

"The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is providing the abovementioned information on state laws for your convenience. CPSC is expressing no opinion on any of these various requirements."

Then they say this:

"CPSC staff recommendation that the Commission issue a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing a product safety standard for ATVs intended for use by adults, a ban on three-wheeled ATVs intended for use by adults, and a standard for ATVs intended for use by youths."

Don't you know that "product safety standard" and "ban" means limitations on OHVs?

The whole site is full of death and injury statistics, links to "Safety" organizations (ones that are for more rules), news stories about deaths and injuries, etc. Nothing here PROMOTES motorsports!

How about this quote:
"the resource bank is intended to assist lawmakers and policy advocates with the development of practical measures aimed at improving rider safety."

This site is completely aimed at collecting evidence for passing new restrictions and for allowing agencies to see what other jurisdictions are doing so they can feel "in the minority" and pass their own local laws. BEWARE!

Looking at the OK laws, can someone tell me if I bought my ATV in Texas and live in Texas but do not have the title yet due to it's a new sale and its on the way can I ride in OK without any trouble ? They do not need to regersted in Texas so how do you get around this in OK or should I even worry about it ? Went riding today and picked up a Texas OHV sticker does this help at all up there ? Was thinking about heading up to Cross Bar Ranch next weekend. May have titles by then but definitely not on one of them. Any help would be great, thanks.

You do not need to register your ATV in OK. That registration is merely a sticker proving we paid the taxes on it after we purchased it in OK. Our dealers quit charging taxes on ATVs in 2005 (I believe). And, ATVs prior to 2005 were grandfathered in because they paid the taxes when they bought it. You won't have any issues. Enjoy CBR. It is a great place to ride.

The place where I bought mine gives you a free lesson if you buy the bike from them.
I know it pricey but the more you can learn without learning the hard way is money saved and whole lot less pain..
Wear your safety gear, boots and gloves for sure and I recommend helmets(especially for the kids) but that’s your choice, with that said I will tell you the first time a limb come flying across your face you will sure wish you had one..
Ride safe..

Thanks! That's kinda what i figured. Cool, should be heading there soon. Would like to also check out Red River Trails and maybe up by Broken Bow. I was up in Broken Bow this spring before I got my toys looking for a cabin and some land. Now that I am into 4x4ing I definitely want my cabin up there!

Forget riding in Broken Bow. There used to be hundreds of miles of beautiful country to ride there at Three Rivers up in the Ouchita National Forest until those assholes at McCurtain County and Weyerhaeuser shut it down "for your safety."

See Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce for more info.

If I were looking to buy a cabin, I think I'd lean toward Mena, AR for something in this region.
