| Driver Injured When Deer Jumps Onto ATV

An unusual accident near Atchsion Saturday night sent an Effingham woman to the hospital.
State troopers say 35-year-old Sandy Grippin was driving an ATV along Sedgwick Road north of Atchison shortly after 11 p.m. when a deer jumped out of the ditch and landed on top of the vehicle. Grippin was knocked off the ATV in the mishap.
She was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St Joseph, Missouri, where a nursing supervisor says she is in good condition.

| Have you guys heard the recording of 911 where a guy ran into a deer and he thought it was dead and put it in the back seat then it came back to life? Funny as hell..
