Anybody have a bike with this feature? I know it was introduced with the 2007 Yamaha Grizzly and the Honda Fourtrax this year, haven't heard whether it is available on any other bikes or not.

I know it wasn't long ago that Ccrane and I were talking about this as being a feature that would be great for ATV's, as they are continuing to grow larger and heavier. It is a royal pain in the rear to try to maneuver through extremely tight riding areas at times, and we all know the feeling of running up on a stump or a large rock and having the handlebars knocked right out of our hands.

Curious if any of you that have one of these bikes, or know someone that has one, has an opinion on these one way or the other.
  • Do you like the feature?
  • Has it been as durable and trouble free as you hoped it would?
  • Would you recommend one of these bikes due to the Electric Power Steering?

I like the idea, but I'm waiting for it to start breaking when put to the test on some bikes that really get used.

That is my mentality. Too many years of working at an automobile dealership. I never get something that is brand new to the market.

Seems like constant activity in mudholes could cause problems with electronics down there around the wheels.

Sounds like it would be great for a trail only bike though. But why would you have a big heavy bike that only sees the trails?

Just got the latest issue of Red Rider (Honda mag) and they announced that they're coming out with an EPS system of their own to go on their 500 class utilities.

I'm still very leery of it.

Ride Safe,

Chuck
