Lightbulb

I thought this would be a good topic to share with others...It might keep them from making the same mistake...
and there will be no lauging at ya, we all want to learn!!!

Please tell us if you've ever made a mistake with your ATV...(either adding/removing parts, uneccessary modifications, just thought it was the right thing to do and wasn't, someone told you about a "new" way of doing it, etc....)

Never try Pam cooking spray on your bike to keep the mud from sticking to it.... free words of advice. Armor All works well...stick with that.

The same principle applies to trucks... some folks will tell you spraying Pam on the front end of your truck will keep bugs from sticking to it...... (YEP... it works... bugs come right off.... only problem is: the Pam NEVER DOES)

Ride Safe,

Chuck

My only mistake was buying a Yamaha before I got the Popo. LOL
Haven't done enough stuff to make any mistakes yet though.

When you buy the bike, spend the extra money to go ahead and outfit it with bumpers, and possibly even a winch if you dont have one for it already.

Dont wait until the poker run at mud nationals to realize you shoudl have gotten the bumpers, only after the exhaust has already been bent from people constantly running into you.

Alot of people don't like them 'cause they're so crowded....I personally had a blast myself. Had a weekend I would never forget...or remember (due to the alcohol)...LOL
Just being around the other ATV's, other people, family, and friends made it all worthwhile.....Now the dust, I could've done without...

I honestly don't remember that.... (must have been a good night...LOL)

That weekend was crazy, I had fun at times...but there were situations that would have been alot better (and alot more safe) without that many folks there.

Something I am still trying to learn. No matter how much I have had to drink, the bikes exhaust is still hot even after the engine is shut off.

I swear I have burned my hand on Chuck's snorkled exhaust at least once every weekend we have been out.

I'll never forget the first night at mudnats... dad reached over to lean against the exhaust snorkel of my brute, and I actually heard the sizzling.... still makes me cringe.
