I think he would enjoy either one....and He could always adapt to the other when ready.....I'm sure he's gifted though....GO FOR THE GUSTO!

Do they seem to be holding up well for the kids?
Is there anything about them that you especially like or dislike?
On one we had a problem with the battery box wiggling back and forth then it broke at the mounts. I welded new mounts on and it is fine now . Other than that we have had no problems at all. I would recommend then to anyone that wants a nice atv for there kids. OH another plus is these both have working head lights, tail lights and brake lights.
