I bought my Bayou new 1999 and it has been to hell and back about four times with very little trouble. It has been money well spent. My daughters Badger 80 is the same way it will follow the Bayou just about anywhere since I made a skid plate for the rearend. Two great machines!
I love my 05 750 Brute I have done a few bolt on mods to it and it is really one of the baddest atvs I have driven. I did have some problems with the belts but it was my fault. PUT THE ARROW POINTING TO FRONT WHEN INSTALLING NEW BELT!!!!. I have installed H.L. 29.5x9.5's 2" wheel spacers, 2" H.L. lift kit, H.L. ecm power pak module, H.L. super duty extreme clutch kit, dyna jet carb kit, all snorkels, rad. relocated. And yes it is a great Quad.
We own a 2005 Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4 and a 2006 Polaris Trail Boss 330. They both run great and we have had no problems with the trail boss. The scrambler, well I love mud. It has been a great bike but normal things happen
I have 2 2007 Arctic Cats - A 650 H1 and a 500 Automatic. Not the best for racing or tight trail riding but they shine in the rough stuff.
Before these I had a kawa bayou 250, it was great as far as the 250s go. Highly recomend it for younger riders but for me the larger ATVs are alot more comfortable.
First of all I have a 2004 Bomb outlander 400 2x4. I have only put 400 miles on it and I bought it 2nd hand with 10 miles on it and about a hr time on the clock. I cannot say anything bad about it. I am sure there are better out there, but from what I am seeing, a lot of you would want IRS. The Bomb has the lowest ownership. What is it about the Bomb you dont like?.........I am new to off roading but getting into it more with each venture off road. Even bought a R1150GS to do the Trans America Trail.
Anyone close to the easternshore of MD?..............Shads Landing?
I finally got a new TRX420 Rancher after wanting an ATV for several years. So far I am loving it. Its comfortable and easy to ride. Has all the power I will probably ever need.
I finished installing a winch today and managed to use it three times in some muskeg in the backcountry.
I have always been a fan of Honda ATVs and they haven't let me down yet. We have two 2006 Rubicons and we love them. I like the versatility with the hi/low gears, in and out of 4WD, and being able to switch from auto to manual. Besides our mountain/trail riding, we use them like a mini tractor around our ranch and they have been great!
I own 3 Fourwheelers.2005 350 Raptor SE Suprisingly a fast little quad. The only problem I have is the reverse is a pain in the ass sometimes.2006 yfz 450,by far one of the fastest quads on the market,You want speed you want to buy this Quad!!!!!!!.Down fall is that it has no reverse.2007 Yamaha Grizzly. What can I say it does everything.Down fall is it has very soft shocks and springs you turn left or right it feels like you are going to roll it.For you guys that like street machines Buy a Suzuki M109R.I will warn you be prepared to talk to a lot of people. That cant get enough of it.Great cruizer!! That will blow Damn near everything off the road.Suzuki Made a bike that has more balls than you ever thought you could have.
2004 Scrambler 500 4x4: A great mix between of sport and utility. Not exactly light, but fairly small and quick. I like the auto 4wd, with auto locking front hubs. I'm just not a fan of CVT's, and since the Scrammy has no low range, it is slow to engage and a lot slow trails/rock/mud will burn up a belt. It prefers to go fast. The engine is awesome, choke cable was frozen for a while and I could still start it in cold weather... a little harder, but it would fire.
2006 Foreman ES: Solid, smooth, nice utility ATV with good storage, etc. Good instrumentation and controls. I love the stump-pulling 1st gear. I've not had any problems with the electric shift and I love it! On some trails I feel like I need something between 2nd gear and 3rd. A little big on tight trails. I wish it had a selectable front locker, the limited slip isn't as effective and makes for VERY heavy steering. Typical cold blooded Honda loves its choke when starting.
I was always a Yamaha man but I just switched to a 2007 Suzuki Vinson 500 4x4 semi-auto. I love it. I overlooked Suzuki for many years. Never again. Remember Suzuki was first on four wheels...!!!
