I just picked up a 650 cat for a friend of mine. While at the dealer, one of the sale man said that arctic cat would be coming out with a new 950 v twin 4x4 next year. Was wondering if anyone else has hear this? Never know this dealer might just be saying that.
Since it is a V-Twin I wonder if its a Kawi motor or AC built it.I dont see how the belt system will hold up tp that much power. If its a Kawi motor I will buy one when it hits the showroom for sure.
The undercarriage looks like it is well protected, which is good. I was also curious as to how heavy it would be, and the dry weight is only 716.
Arctic Cat has been steadily gaining in popularity, and I would imagine this bike goes a long way toward increasing that popularity. If I was shopping for a new bike, I might definitely consider this one. Can't wait to see what the rest of the manufacturers do to try to trump this.
arctic cat 950 is just a croc arcticcat didnt say anything about a 950 in vegas at the expo
but they did say they wher going to make a new 700 with ther own motor and if ac did make a 950 it would not be a kawasaki product they are looking to be completly independent of any other companies ac has the most advanced engine factory in the usa i am sure they plan on using it for more than the 650 h1
great it is true it will be the fastest accelerating qud on the market it is going to be a v twin it will be called a 1000 h2 or 950 h2 and it will be a arcticcat motor and it will be the new bread and butter of the atv world info came fromguy that is looking at one in vegas as we speak it is a very coll thing that the hemispherical design of the 650 h1 will be used to make a true 950 cc hemispherical vtwin and it is supposed to have tq numbers that are unreal soon the brute will be the little guy when it comes to power strange things are going on at that expo but what will kawasaki do to compete with that big 950 kind of scary to think of what kawasaki is gonna pull out of their hat
Fat Cat, The brute will never be a "the little guy". I am not sure that the Brute would not be able to run with anything that ac comes out with. The 700 and the 650 H1 cant even come close. Its to bad they call them a cat, If you cant run with the Big Dogs, stay on the porch.
Called the Thunder Cat,they are claiming 188 ft pound of torque. There are vids of it floating around on the net of it spinning all four tires on pavement for a little ways.I will try and find them and post them here. The suggested retail price of it is $10,500.
well i was gonna get the almighty brute but this thing makes the brute sound like mighty mouse ac has got my attention once again sounds like a beast 188tq would spin laws like they are made out of paper
pacman you are 100% right the brute was gonna be in my garage monday but i have to see this new cat first and this is gonna sound bad but /can you realy expect a brute 750 to comp with the thundercats 188 ftllbsof tq/ dont be mad i am sure kawasaki will come out with something like this to / the atv world is rapidly changing cant see whats gonna happen next
Fat Cat first off I just got my Brute a couple weeks ago so it is still all stock, but it will have a 4x4pac lift in it and most likly have gladiator bumpers on it. As far as spending money on something I dont know how to use, wekk yah I guess I do, I use to own a atv repair shop, I now own an atv customizing shop and I have owned 11 brand new 4 wheelers in my lifetime. But I dont know how to use them>
pacman i dont want bones i was just making a little statment and you act as if the 650 h1 has nothing to offer and that is a bias opinion / i was actualy going to buy a brute 750 until i heard about the new cat and now i am going to see if i like it more than the new cat / no harm ment
fat cat no harm takin, I know people love there cats and I can understand why, they are a very very tough machine. I personally don't care for them just because of there weight. We (my family and friends) do a lot of muddin and trail riding. One friend just bought a brand new 650 h1 this week. He has a little more of a time going though the thick stuff with the extra weight slowing him down. He has rode my brute and even he says that his ac doesn't ride as smooth as my brute. I think it all depends on were you ride and what type of riding you do.
