Thinking of trading my grizzly for a 700 King Quad to get the bigger bike with fuel injection. I would like to hear all comments in regards to the quality of the KQ. I hardly ever see anything on here about them and any probs. Should I assume they are great bikes? Thanks
Suzuki does make a good bike, my uncle has one of the older models and he never had any major problems with it. Don't know about the new ones though. There are a few Suzuki owners lurking around here.
I have a buddy with a king quad and a couple with the 700 grizzly, I'm more impressed with the grizzly than the king quad. The king quad just hasn't got tested like the grizzlys do when we go riding.
i love my king and ride the hell out of it and it's never let me down, and it'll smoke a grizzly 700. They are both good machines but i think the king looks a lot better. if you buy a kingquad just replace the air filter right away with a foam one , thats one of suzuki's mistakes on this machine.
I have friend that has a KQ and it is great riding and powerful bike. It turns easy and it is good starting in winter. if you are looking for a mud machine then a V-Twin is the answer they have more torque and you can get more stuff for them. And parts are hard to find and expensive for the KQ. The clutch kits are hard to install and don't lower gear ratio like the brute force ones do. If you want a bad Quad get a V-Twin. I don't like the grizzly to hard to snorkel and not enough low end power. KQ will smoke the grizzly. Me and My friends dragged our quads KQ-Brute-Grizzly660, Every thing stock except the Brute with 28 H.L. Brute has much better take off but not as much top end stock as the KQ. The grizzly , no chance.
Do you have a 660 or a 700 Grizzly? The 700 I find much better than the 660 but the KQ is a good bike as well. If I ever sold my honda I would buy a 700 Grizz.
I had a 06 Kingquad 700 and sold it to buy my Rhino. I loved the machine. Probably the best high speed handling utility machine out there. Does not the have the bottom end of some other Big Bores, but nothing will beat it on the long run. I had mine with 26" tires up to 70 MPH, and that was at 10000' altitude in Colorado. Definately a 75 MPH machine around here if you have a long and smooth enough place to get it there. Anyway with that being said, if I were to buy another machine I probably would buy the Grizzly for the Power Steering. That is the one complaint I had about the Kingquad. In steep hillclimbing in 4Wd there was tremendous Torque steer. And decending steep hills you better have a hold of the bars, because a rock or rut will jerk them out of your hands, and then its a bad day!
i have owned a 750KQ for about a week now and have ridden all the big cc bikes except the grizz and the kingquad in my opinion is the best riding and handling one out there and its got tons of power.
