ANNECY-LE-VIEUX, France — French car-and-bike tuner Lazareth has introduced its street-legal Quadrazuma ATV, which appears to take a page out of Volkswagen's Moonraker playbook in creating a bizarre crossover between a car and a motorcycle.
The four-wheel Quadrazuma is outfitted with a carbon-and-fiberglass body and powered by a Yamaha GTS 1000 four-cylinder engine that makes 120 horsepower at 12,000 rpm. The steering gear is borrowed from a Renault Twingo. The ATV is equipped with two 20-liter side-mounted gas tanks and 17-inch wheels with Yokohama tires. In place of a rearview mirror, there is a digital camera.
What this means to you: The French creation looks suspiciously similar to VW's three-wheeled GX3 motorcycle that was unveiled earlier this year at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
