Got some 589s on the Big Bear

Traded my stock Mudlites and a .22 to a guy I work with for these. 26x9x12 frt 26x12x12 rear 589s. He wanted a tire with a better ride and I wanted something wider that floats better and is more aggressive, so it worked out great. These suckers claw wicked. He had them on an 87 Foreman so thats why it rode rough for him, the suspension is much smoother on mine and they ride great. To anyone with a Big Bear I highly recommend moving up to a 26" tire whether it be the 589s or something else. I know it gears it up a bit , but it really feels snapier.3rd gear doesnt seem to be geared too far above 2nd now.I'm using higher gears in most everywhere now.I dont understand it, I was initally worried mostly about 3rd gear because it would bog down in spots when I would shift into it.I am very happy with the steering and handling ,it doesnt miss a trick.Ive only been on ice and deep snow so I'll post again when we get our mud and dirt back from mother nature. If you cant tell I love my Big Bear with its new skins. Im trying to enclose the pics but if I cant theyre in my gallery.

Well, bad news the 589s just left a couple hours ago.The guy I was getting them from got a little greedy. I was giving him my mudlites, and buying him 4 new steel wheels out of dennis kirk 42.95 a piece total of $172, a Marlin Model 60 .22 rifle that I had paid $150, the tire chains that I just bought this winter for $90. A total of $412.That was fine with me,however he had told me he paid $350 to the person he bought them from on a few different occasions.Well 3 days later now he tells me at work today that he would like 10" wide tires on the front because he worries about it digging in, and would like me to buy two 25x10x12 mudlites for the frt for73.99 a piece total of $148 not including shipping. That would have brought my total cash outlay to a sum about$560 when he had only $350 cash invested. The deal was fine with me until today when he wanted the 2 new frt tires, I have no problem with giving somebody what they have invested and then some, but when the deal is agreed upon and theyre already getting more than what they have into it and have the audacity to ask for more after that, they can go F@#! themselves and theyre 589s I'll buy newones for $140 more. The guy is a shady sneaky mother f@!#6% anyway I shouldve known better.

Thanks Muddy I'll take a look. I just had to vent about the whole situation.I know the wheels and tires are $700 new , but these were used when he got them and he paid $350 which was a huge deal in itself. He wanted a smoother riding tire for his 87 Foreman, and I wanted something wider and more aggresive than my stock mudlites. In fact he proposed the deal with me when he saw me looking at tires in dennis kirk at breaktime last week. This afternoon when I dropped off his tires and picked mine up he mentioned how he was talking with a dealer about a Ranger SxS and trading in the Foreman towards it,then saying he wondered how much more of a tradein he could get with the 589s and rims on it.The guy doesnt think before he speaks or he doesnt think people will actually remember what he has said and put 2 and 2 together. After thinking about all of this I know he asked for more so I would say screw the deal then he would get the rims+ tires back so he could getmore for a tradein on his old Foreman. He could have just been straight up and said something if that was the case, hell even if it wasnt the guy has no principles. If you make a deal with a person stick to it and honor your word dont try to change it because you find another way to benefit yourself further thats just selfish and greedy the world has way too many people like that, thats why society is the way it is.The world would be a better place if people had more principles , and honor.Well sorry for venting so much that kind of stuff tweaks me bad.

Well I just ordered the 589s 26x9x12 and 26x12x12,and the black ITP delta steel wheels center caps and lugs from dennis kirk. I went with the stock 4.5+2.5 spacing in the front and the 2+5 spacing in the rear just like the barter set I was using.I just liked the stance of the quad and the added stability with the rears out further, they slung a little more up at me but that doesnt bother me.The young lady said they should be here Monday so I'll keep you posted.I did check Rocky mtn and Atv direct rocky was $10 dollars cheaper and ATV direct was $26 more but I went with Dennis Kirk just because I ve ordered alot of stuff from them in the past 14 or 15 years and theyve treated me well and got my stuff to me in a timely manner .

Hey Cotton you dont need to worry too much about the deep mud with the BB just look out for theHudson River if youre ever up this far cause its pretty deep in spots if youre not careful, trustme I learned that on my 07 BB last summer. They are pretty easy to float to shore though.LOL

yup..i've leanred the BB will go threw alot of crap. stock i've gone threw alot. everything my friends have gotten threw.....any place i got stuck they got stuck. i've gone some places even then no one could follow...except for those monster quads with 27 inch tires and 12 inchs of ground clerance with super big lugs and mega winches with snorkels and lift kits....makes my BB look skimpy whenever i go to the countys mud rides or bogs. funny thing though. i go threw it with them. except that high water
