Side x sides

I had no idea how popular these things have become. I was watching youtube videos of mud nationals 08 and I saw just as many side x sides as regular utility quads. They definitely look good and seem to go anywhere the others can go (except maybe a narrow trail).

I have a rhino 660 and I ride with a group of grizzly's and rincons. I can go 95% of the time anywhere they go with my stock rims. Many side by sides put pretty looking but wide rims on which puts a major limit on where they can ride.
I've gotten hug with a tree at my front bumper and another jammed behind my roll bar. If the tree is small enough, we cut it down with my hand saw. Otherwise we drag my Rhino by hand until its clear. I've high centered a few times when the other went thru. I'm installing bigger tires [27"] which will help that problem.
We only have one other side by side [another rhino] that rides with us-sometimes.

I have 2 UTVs and am going to buy a sidexside some time at the
end of the year. I like the idea of having the option of riding a
different type of vehicle. Not to mention alot of women don't care
to ride the Quads, (not safe, scares me, bla, bla, bla). It gives you
more oppurtunities if you are single.

I have picked out the sidexside I am going to purchase in a few months.
It's a BMX 500. Has all the bells and whistles. Don't do alot of muddin, so
this should be perfect for me. Going to order it in Oct. from Bestpriceatvs.com.
I don't care where it's made. It's just what I want ,so I don't have to throw alot
of money into it other than Tires. Good luck in finding what you want.

Kazuma Mammoth side x side

Ordered it, got it, love it.

IT is WIDE, 62 inch wheel base, we aren't mudders so it is perfect for us. And as you say, sometimes the ladies dont like the quads. Something about wide spreads. or Something. We have had a Mule, and it was just not peppy enough when we go to colorado, and at 400cc, didnt have a lot of room to increase, even with jet change and retune for 10000 feet.

and with a 800 pound load capacity in the dump bed yu can carry more bee/// uh water and sodas. and the ladies doooooooo love it.

BUt at 65 years of age. all I can do is "give em a ride " lol

We live in East Texas area, and are looking for more trails and open roads to ride on.....Can't really do the mud and deep water crossings to much. Any ideas?
we have been to Wolf Pen Gap in Arkansas, red river in Bulcher. Rural Shade down near Kerens, tx and Fourche Mtn up in arkansas. but some of the trails are a little narrow.

Thanks in advance

I saw an advertisment for the new honda big red. it's hondas first side by side yet. i'm not quiet sure how good it's going to be since it's there first stab at it. unless you count the pug from the early 90's, but I think someone else made it an put a honda engine in it. I coud be wrong about that though.

Hey now, tell the rest of it....

Rhino gets out of 16" of thick nasty mud (with the aid of it's own winch) and then pulls out two lifted Brutes.
