What is the best bike (ATV/UTV) out there right now?

This question has been asked in the past, or at least something similar, but things change from year to year.

If you were in the market for an ATV or UTV right now, which machine would be your ultimate bike?

Since we are listing two different classes of bikes, feel free to post one from each.....

I.m.o. I'm impressed wth the kingquads and the yamaha's. I'm just baseing that on our creek rides we have, they seem to impress me more than any other, but personelly i'm glad there's more than one brand, keeps the competition improving, except for honda they need a new R/D department.

I'm not a big Arctic Cat fan but that new MudPro 700 has got me wanting one real bad. I love the look of the snorkel on that thing. 14" of clearance from the factory. DANG

depends on riding style and type of work being done. not to mention the different types of engine sizes

like for mud, or rock crawling, trail ridin, sand ridin, or multi terrain.

i do know for the 400 class and if your gonna be in the mud your gonna want a yamaha Big Bear. good ground clearance, good stock tires, locking differintial, low gearing for more power in thick sucky mud.

in the UTV market i only have experiance with mules and rhinos. do yourself a favor and get a rhino. UNLESS your gonna be doing extreme work and not some much play, then you'll want the mule

My daughter and son in law both ride Grizzly 660's and love them. I ride my 06'Rhino 660 and love it. I guess our collective vote is for Yamaha-they are reliable, fast, mechanic friendly, and take hours of abuse/mud/water/more mud/etc and rarely fail. oldatvr

speaking of mud have ya'll ever thought about the actuall abuse quads take everytime there in the mud. i mean really. there is alot to mud riding and bogging that ppl really think of. alot of science and scientic laws that go along with it as well as other types of riding as well. just think bout the drive train and the engine as it is tryin to pump out enough power to keep the tires rollin. i mean thats alot to ask of a single cylinder engine. i mean think about it

just a thought of mine

ATV - Kawasaki Brute Force 750 EFI.

UTV - Yamaha Rhino 700 EFI.

I love the idea of the Thundercat, but havn't rode one yet and they havn't had much of a chance to prove themselves yet (bigger isn't always better).

I love the looks and specs on the Teryx.... but once again... hasn't been out long enough to see what sorts of problems it'll face.

The Brute EFI is a BEAST to ride... and the Rhino is tried-and-true.

That's my $.02

ATV-For the kind of riding I do the King Quad 750 is more stable and has alot more power than the old 700's did. #2 is probaly the The new O8 Brute Force and the Grizzly 700 if they would get and admit there few minor problems taken care of.

UTV- Kawasaki Teryx is AWESOME!!!!

Yamaha Grizzly 700 EPS. The power steering gives it the nod over the Suzuki Kingquad 750.

Go Green

Brute Force all the way....

I don't have a lot of experience with ATV's, but I know my Brute Force just tears through stuff.
I am usually the one who does make it through the pond and pulls the Yamaha's out of the mud.

You should know that I am Kawasaki biased though.

the most popular around here anyway in atvs would be honda (there is normally twice as many hondas on the trails) in utvs the rhino wins. this is just what i see around here.

Power steering is just one more thing to break down out on the trail.

For toughest I'd have to say the Innova MudGear. Their biggest drawback is also one of the best traits. The are tough as nails but heavy.

I have not tried a more balanced combination of power, speed, and handling than my recent test drive of the new Yamaha Grizzly 550! I am sold on it. I currently ride a 450 grizz and I am very happy with it. It lacks a little on the HP side, but it is very nimble and can get in and out of some really tight spots. So, I choose Yamaha, but I don't have much time on other manufacturers bikes.

I rode it at the Thunder Valley Mortocross track in Morrison, CO in late June. It was a promotional deal by Yamaha and I had gotten an invitation through the dealer I bought my 450 from. I rode it for about 40 minutes or so. The sales guy rode anothe 550 with me but after about 15 minutes he just stopped to watch. The power steering is nice but I don't think I will buy it. Since it has at least 10-12 more horsepower than my 450 and it has fuel injection, I think it will be perfect for high elevation riding. I will probably wait until next summer to get it though.
