ATV Trails to "Air" on Trail Nation TV Program - Fox Sports Wisconsin 09/26/09

FOREST COUNTY - The Northwoods is known for its recreation, but two counties in the area are getting some national attention.

The Nicolet State Trail in Forest County runs along an abandoned railroad corridor for about 32 miles.

The ATV trail will appear on Trail Nation, which is a thirty minute, nationally televised program.


The episode features both Forest and Langlade counties, and will air Saturday on FOX Sports Wisconsin.

The shoot in Forest County lasted for about two hours, and the crew consisted of a cameraperson, a producer, and the co-host.

Daniel Peters, who is a Natural Resources Technician, said "They were excited to get out here and see the trails. They wanted to know a lot about the wildlife in Forest County; what the trail users typically see for wildlife."

The episode also touches on area restaurants and places to stay.

This is the second time the episode will be airing.

A different episode featuring ATV trails in Florence and Marinette counties will air on October 10th.

I had never heard of this program until now.... looks like a great program to watch

that's cool. i'm from wisconsin and never heard of this until just now reading it on here. but i can say is the trails in the counties around forest count like langlade, oconto, and marinette counties do have nice trails. i done most riding in oconto county where i live but planning on more in langlade this year since my gf lives in that county. all the trails in these counties are suppose to be connected from what i heard but the rail road grade can get boring but plenty trails off that to explore.
