No four wheel drive vehicles are permitted in the riding area.
You have to ride this place to believe it. AWSUME- HOURS AND HOURS, never same trail. In the Arbuckle mountians. I cant wait to get back there. Here are a few pictures. Having problems uploading the rest. i will try again later.Arbuckle01.jpg
I will not be going here because my kids are 13 and it states that no one under the age limit set by the manufactor is allowed to ride. That means my kids can not ride our Honda Rancher & I know that they are willing to go for a walk while we ride.
Geesh fellas, Rules are made to help save injurys. Far as helmet rule..You need to wear them on the 4 wheelers any palce you go. Riding age I agree with also in public places. It not just your kids life you put on the line but everyone else's. I have seen to many under age kids on oversized atv's driving with out regaurd to others. SAFETY FIRST work or play.
Ride safe and ride another day.
no doubt! wear your helmets you dumbasses! what will it take? A trip to the ER? I had a buddy roll his bike last fall and his forehead opened up bigtime on a rock. this guy could ride too.... i mean he had been riding his whole life, and is one of the best i'd ridden with. he felt like a complete ass when he looked like frankenstein for the next three months. he is lucky to be alive. not going to ride a great park because they require you to wear a helmet. you are damn morons.
Easy Patrick..lol No need to really go postal.. They know helmets save lives, even if they dont want to admit it. There loss if they boycott a super riding area because of HELMETS. A trip to the ER is what lots of people need to wake up. Ive was blind sided by a large limb and damn near knocked me off the atv. I saw stars for a few seconds and boy I was glad to have the skid lid ON.
In our state (Texas), it is legal to ride a motorcycle on the road without a helmet.
Personal attacks and name-calling are unnecessary, and will not be tolerated on this website.
I personally ride a Rhino, in which I see no point whatsoever in wearing a helmet unless you're racing.
Now, as for your friend... I'm sorry for his misfortune. However, I had a similar accident about 5 years ago... split my head WIDE open (was watching the nurse scrub my skull in the mirror) In that particular situation, had I been wearing a helmet... it most likely would have been crushed and done ALOT more injuries to me than what I'd already received.
Helmets are a good idea... but they are NOT the "all-life-saving safety-net" devices you make them out to be. There have even been studies lately about helmets in children's sporting events (football). Concussions and neck injuries made worse by these archaic devices almost lead me to believe they'd be better off without them. (If two kids running into each other can cause this sort of damage, imagine an adult body impacting an object at any significant speed??? What good is it for your head to be intact when your neck is broken?)
In my own case, I don't wear them for comfort reasons... In case you havn't noticed Texas and Oklahoma are usually HOT!!!
and, in some cases being in a helmet can actually bring on heat exhaustion. (Passing out while going down a trail on an 800 lb. machine is not my definition of wise)

So, in closing... if you don't agree with others not wearing helmets please feel free to state your opinions and personal beliefs.
But if you ever make a post like that again it will be your last one here.
Thank you for your time.... and welcome to Mudbog.net!
CCRANE for your response. I agree with you completely.
As for the safty of myself, family menbers and other riders on the trail, My kids are not allowed to ride with out a helmet, but at the age of 13 are allowed to ride a 400cc bike (recommended for 16 and older) suppervised by myself or the wife. Other than that they would only be allowed to ride a 125cc (max) in which we would not be able to enjoy 90+% of the places we go because the smaller bikes just will NOT make it. No power and or ground clearance. If every one would assume responsiblity for thier own actions we would not have 80% of the dumb rules and laws we have know.
NOW with all that being said lets go RIDE
BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN
don't forget to be responsible because my tax dollars and our goverment should not have to dictate what we do or how we have FUN.
( If every one would assume responsiblity for thier own actions we would not have 80% of the dumb rules and laws we have know. ) I agree 100%
Now that being said, you and I both know that will never happen. Responsibility, very big meaning to most of us. But I will not stand by idley and let the people who don’t take it seriously ruin my time or places to ride on ATV’s. We all pay one way or the other for people who fail to take responsibility. The parents of the kids and the spouses of the people killed or maimed will sue and lobby because of their ignorance or failure to follow simple safety rules. I believe that there were 11 deaths on ATV’s in Oklahoma last year and they did NOT have their helmet on. Now that stat is good enough for me. UTV’s are whole another issue. From what I have seen of these you are well protected by a windshield and seatbelts. Not much need for a helmet unless you are going to drive aggressive.
