atv bouncy

my 250 quad is bouncy inthe front end. i've tried different tire pressure but still bounces any ideas

It's in your shocks. If you don't mind dropping some coin on them then check out Works performance shocks. But first I would take them to a suspension specialist like Race Tech.

not sure of the brand as there is no decal or anything.. all i know is its a 2007, 4 stroke 250.i bought it used but the certificate says it comes from global trading company,so its probably from japan LOL. the origainal owner says he only put about 150 km on it, so it really dont have a lot of miles. wish i could be more help, so that you all could be more help, thanx for your time

I'm bettin your ATV came from China. If so, those shocks are probably not worth modifying. I think your best bet is to try and find a couple replacement springs/shocks off of a used Japanese ATV.

After reading the rest of this thread, the only thing that leaps to mind is that there isn't enough weight on the front of the machine.

Perhaps a sand bag on the front rack?

I know this sounds silly, but perhaps that would be enough to sink the shocks and make them work as they were designed.

And a sandbag isn't nearly as likely to hurt you in the event of a roll-over as other items.

My daughter's china made 110cc was the same way off the show room floor. You could trampoline off the front rack it bounced so much. There's just not much compression or rebound dampening on those things at all.
