oil change time

Time to change my oil and I was wondering
conventional or synthetic?
what is the highest quality?

This is my first oil change on a regular schedule (first after initial service 100hr or 600mi).

Read your manual first. You're limited on the type of oil you can run in the Rancher due to the internal clutches. If I remember correctly, you cannot run any type of oil that has "energy conserving" on the API seal. I run Castrol 10w-40.

Yep...sooner is right on that. I would just use either Honda oil or Valvoline ATV or Motorcycle oil. The Valvoline ATV oil is a very good oil.
