I have a BF 650i that I want to upgrade the performance. I ride in mud, snow, hard-pack and just about everything else there is to ride in. So far I have only added new tires which are 27x10x12 fronts, 27x12x12 rears and they are Mud Bugs. What else can i add to my bike to increase performance and off-roading? Any proven setups you'd like to share?

Get an ignition module, that is the best bang for the buck on a bf.Moose module makes a plug and play module that does great, you will be surprised on how much power they make

I agree with scrib... the performance modules are the best bang for the buck.

It changes the timing curve on the igntion. The brutes are very detuned from the factory and the modules changes that. They can cost anywhere from $100 all the way to $500.I have tried a couple of diff ones and the one that gave me the best bang for the buck was the $100 Highlifter ICM Pak.I also have a VDI Copperhead Gen 2 that is fully programmable, the only problem with it is that it dont like water.

I have the Diamond G Racing DG5 module..

It features a switch that allows you to return to stock mode any time you wish, and an LED that flashes to let you know the module is working properly.

Unlike the Moose module, it is not plug and play... and requires some basic knowledge of making electrical connections.

All of the modules do about the same thing... the Highlifter module is about the cheapest, but requires splicing of wires and doesn't have a switch or LED,

The Moose lets you plug the machine in without molesting any wires... and you can return the machine to stock form at any time with no visible change to the machine.

The choice is really up to you.

Good luck and let us know what you decide,

Chuck
